I, am so incredibly proud of you James that was incredible & very emotional. Every time I hear the Julia theme I cry. & James you did do Eastenders proud very very much so & you’re family & everyone of us too. Be extremely proud of yourself. You have my votes every week & a lot of them too ily very much. The best of luck to go into next week ❤️❤️🥰🥰🤗
I always think about the people who have died in Eastenders everytime I hear the Julia's theme, this is really charming and emotional. James is incredible
I actually got really emotional watching James's Foxtrot to the Julia's theme from EastEnders this week. As a massive super fan of EastEnders I feel James did really well. Foxtrot is such a difficult dance. Some wonderful choreography from Amy who looked absolutely gorgeous. Great emotion and storytelling. James's posture is improving despite there still being some gaping throughout. With that said it was still a great performance 7️⃣ from me. Well done James 👏🏼.
The in hold sections of this dance were danced entirely on his toes, making it very awkward when going forward. Heel leads are your friend in ballroom James! His posture was leaning slightly too far backwards making him off balance too, leading to gapping. 6
James is making good progress. Winners often start with small steps (excuse the pun)…..Go for it James and Amy! Show the hidden talent and enjoy the experience ! Pat Richards
Wow. Firstly, I think james has improved so much since his first dances. Not as good as last week, but still a good effort! For me personally, there was too much of twirling amy around and not enough steps. But then again, amy is beautiful with the most beautiful dresses, so twirling her around is gorgeous to watch! The steps that were there, well done james. However, still waiting for him to find his dance! I think maybe halloween week could be his big week.... 🤞 7/10 🙂
I really loved the beginning, you could tell how much effort was put into getting that right. Something fell flat when the beat came in and I feel the dance lost all its energy. Definitely one of two halves but James' best so far.
Score - *6* It was a lovely tribute to Eastenders and the storytelling was good. James has got a lack of musicality but he's good at acting the dances to cover up his technical errors. The American Smooth parts were ok but I didn't enjoy the Foxtrot parts really, the frame needs work, his steps are too wide and a lot of gapping and stiffness. I just can't get on board with his dances sadly, it wasn't as good as last week I'm afraid, but it was nice seeing strictly do EE considering that's all the people they ever have on the show lol
I hope Amy was ok? I heard she was teary after the dance? Maybe she was worried about the Ukraine Russian war and politics.. Great to see Edward Westminster standing in for Will with Rose at the ABBA night. Amy actually looks like Barbara Smith from East Ender's on this dance. She was also Grace in Casualty with Connie the head teacher and a bridesmaid Grace Hugh to Kate Middleton and Prince William. Well done guys 👍🫶👋
Hey, he actually did an above average dance for once! ...Is what I would say if it didn't completely stumble and fall apart by the time the music flourished into the actual theme. It was going so well! His best dance, but it would have been great if he had kept the first half up. We're just dragging out a flat liner at this point...
Score: 6 It was an OK performance. The out of hold sections at the start felt like he was just showing off Amy. Once they got into hold there was quite a bit of gapping (which is not a one-off). It kind of felt like they regressed from last week, and I wonder if they're going home.
James Bye and Amy Dowden Next. There seems to be a middle ground for a lot of people in this year's show let me show you the three groups. winner's Hamza ____________________________ middle everyone else ____________________________ people I don't like 0/zero ____________________________ James is a nice man so it was lovely to see his emotion break through with the connection to EastEnds and seeing how much it means to him and the family around him. The dance it's self good I guess but Jame's Frame work still Needs to be sorted out good luck for Next Week.
Score: 6 Eh, it was ok but I found the whole thing very square and blocky and it didn't flow too well. And he was leaning waaay too far back in hold. There was a lot of gapping too so he basically needs to refine everything in hold and he needs to listen to the music a bit more to deliver a fantastic performance. His out of hold moments were great however. Not the best, not the worst.
Bit "meh" tbh. A shame, because it meant so much to him. It also really didn't help that they launched into the Eastender's theme tune halfway through- that is the only reason people started woo-ing and applauding; totally killed the vibe and just ruined what they were going for. It was just a bit odd really.
