I’m 42 so this song came out when I was very young. I didn’t learn about it until a few months ago when I found out Biggie’s, “Sky Is The Limit” was a sample from this song and another. Maaan, when I heard this joint I fell in love instantly! The message, that 80’s sound is so nostalgic. It rings in my head over and over again! Salute D-Train!
Being younger- I know we’re old -😅40s we have to find these songs, they were just samples and when I was younger. What was mainly on radio at time is what I wanted to hear.
They don't know nothing bout real music. Great song D-Train. I remember when I heard this group for the first time with their distinctive sound never being able to sit still there after. Love it forever❤ Ty.
Classic early 80s NYC production and the crucial post disco scene centered there that later resulted in the Chicago version called house. NYC rap, hip hop, electro concurrently forming and spreading to the rest of the world. KISS FM, WBLS, KTU in the streets on the boxes yall!
O.meu o nosso de cada dia dtrain fabuloso espetacular ainda quer ter seus vinis comigo na minha coleção pois forambroubados de mim eu amooooooooooo top the best
I so totally agree. The message in this song goes beyond just a good groove. When I was a youngster, we danced to it and partied to it. Now, that Im over, and lived a little more; the song is still a good groove, but also inspirational and ministers to me in a totally different way. Because of the experiences that I've lived.
I played this alot when i was about 19 ...and again in 2020 when my wife was dying from pancreatic cancer at 49 ..😞💔..miss her everyday .my heart is for ever broken..♥🙏

STILL PLAY & LOVE THIS MUSIC, THE MESSAGE IS POSITIVE AS WELL AS FUNKING. THIS IS MISSING FROM ALOT OF THE MUSIC IN THIS ERA. IT WAS ABOUT HAVING A GOOD TIME & GET YOUR GROOVE ON, THIS IS NO DOUBT A CLASSIC, WITH "SOMETHING ON MY MIND"🔥🌷🎤

Was this at O2? I was there.. Absolutely amazing night. Love this inspirational tune. I wrote all the lyrics down bak in the day as we had no internet lol. Still got my 12" one of my ultimate tunes ever. xx
According to the title this was at Discotheek Cartouch Utrecht 1983 (Netherlands), I've been there once or maybe twice but it has been 40 years and I can't swear that this is really the Cartouch but I have nothing to doubt that and I the O2 (in London) in its currrent form opened in 2007. Or was there maybe a disco in Holland called O2 in the early 80's that I don't know of...
@@martsteegh4122 Oops! I was probably in my element and did not read the description. One of my ultimate tunes ever. Love this so much! Makes me happy. So inspritaional. xx

Hi !! We are currently producing a non-profit documentary and we're absolutely inspired by this clip video of D Train!! We would love to use 30 seconds maximum of it - Thank you for considering our request, and for creating content that resonates with so many. (we can credit you as well) - Best, Mel
Fantastic video, would be nice to know how you got it (made it yourself?). And at the authors I see Robbie Williams, what does he go to do with it, he was 8 at the time, and two other, while this was written by James "D-Train" Williams himself and Hubert Eaves III, but great video, don't lose it ;)
