@@Tech-cy9yo That’s not true at all. Everyone knows Barkley was great. Everyone knows Dominique was great. A.I. was great. Winning a ring doesn’t make you great it just means you’re a champion. You can be great and never win a ring. Everyone is not meant to win a ring except in this generation where guys stack teams to win a ring. It makes rings less valuable.
For all the aspiring players coming for knowledge on how he does it, note that he always attacks the weak foot, or the foot sticking out towards you. In a drive attacking the weak foot allows you to get ahead while ur opponent has to turn around to guard you, giving you an advantage, and puts you behind you opponent. Of course, your gonna have to learn to be able to attack on both sides and layup with both hands
Remember him being my first and only fave player to watch back when he just got traded to Houston... Love to see him getting the recognition he deserves 🚀☝️ edit: i mean to say that when I was first a fan, he was underrated but since then he's been a mvp, all star and all that
a friend of mine modeled his game from Harden since he is left handed as well. Sadly my friend past away a month ago and whenever i see Harden i remember him.
His game is so unorthodox I love it, I’ve been a fan since 14’ I have no clue Who will be my favorite player after he Retires I’m thinkin DLo his game is pretty unorthodox & smooth
Not underrated or deserves more respect; People hate him for overdramatic fake foul-baiting, lazy defence or even lazy enough to bent over and pick up the ball.
@@tonyj9743 you are probably one of those casuals who thinks harden's stepbacks are travels. besides, literally 70% of the nba population flops and sells their fouls. yet you guys only care when harden does it
@@russellwestbrick1754 Does he travel literally every time? No, when he does the legal stepback, it's damned fun to watch. It's the times when does zero step-step-step-step-step that people take fucking issue with and YES, he does that shit on the regular. Many an NBA legend has called him out for those travels.
Just reminded how quick Harden’s first step is in Houston. He exploded in front of a defender and just drove by him so quickly. Also he was shooting like 37% from step back 3s. Now he slows down by quite a lot. Not sure if he is able to pull it back to peak form whenever he want if he is used to playing like this.
One of the most unique players of all time. Handle is godly and doesn’t get talked about enough. Reminds me of Gilbert Arenas the way he gets to the bucket by any means.
Steph- The God of the 3 Harden- The God of Iso Kyrie- The God of Dribbling Kd- The God of scoring Kobe- The God of all Black Mamba's Bill- The God of Chips Mj- the God of competitiveness Tony Snell- the greatest player of all time :)
bro his signature size up is unmatched i mimic it with my own spin on to and and boy i’ll tell you no one expects you to shoot when you have so much momentum build up and i’m omw to highschool and i been playin wit grown men at gyms since i was in middle school so i hope it continues to work bc that size up gives me many options to work with
We all know he can attack the rim and shoot step backs, but he can also pass at a high levels and play respectable defense. People like to say he travels on his moves but really he developed moves that are within the rules that just so happen to look like travels. I’d say he’s the most complete guard in the game rn
Hmm maybe but Devin booker is seeming to grow into a much better guard than Harden ever is, he scores his points through fouls and insane shot attempts, no wonder he gets the points he does.
@@tutili0819 booker is way worse defensively than harden & no where near the passer ! Or IQ ! And harden a better 3 pointer shooter and free throw shooter booker is just better at midrange because harden doesn’t take them anymore like he did in OKC early Houston days !
@@Wack_Miller lmao keyword 'just' dropped. But what has he done all playoffs tho? Unlike others I do NOT think Harden is washed and in decline, yet. He's just still not 100 percent from the injury and is still a bit overweight. Those are facts. Another fact is that Harden just isn't himself under pressure 🤷🏽♂️ So this beast shown in this video is honestly irrelevant imo if we don't ever get to see him in the playoffs
@@tonytooshort I’m on your side tho my guy. He’s not washed. He’s playing through a leg injury. I think if Sixers don’t pull it off this year, he’s fully healthy and goes Houston harden next year. At least I hope. Sixers in 6 tho
I'm brazilian mma fan one day i was basketball and i saw him dribbling and it was the first time that i enjoyed basketball. For me he is the best of this generation. He never disappoints , always plays nice
The threat of him blowing past is what makes the step-back so effective. The threat of the step-back is what makes it easy for him to blow past. Unguardable.
LOL I’m picturing senior citizens having their “ankles broken” by James Harden lol. But I know what you meant- if they moved forward in time, what would it look like? Still a lot of broken ankles, just in the figurative sense ;-)
Wow I haven't looked at any harden highlights in quite some time and then I go to RU-vid to find this video posted an hour ago. Niceeeee. Thanks for the vid 👊
Dam he was so good he just fell off a cliff doesn't look the same. He can't handle the ball and get past by people like he used to it sucks watching him now. Going to miss this version of Harden.
Where the heck has that floater gone? It's all either that step back three that he struggling with or try to get all the way to the Rim and hope for a foul? That floater would still be available to him.
He does the floater all the time and sometimes he fakes it and throws the lob. The real question is what happened to the step back jumpsuit he used to do, a lot of people forget his original step back move led to a midrange jumpshot and he would do it while he was driving to the paint
What makes Harden so hated is the step back but also the fact that he drops 30 a game while the guys he’s guarding usually drops around the same amount…he’s a one side player and alot of players like that are always hated on
IDC what anyone says.. Harden's step back is the second greatest signature move behind Kareems skyhook. Forget the Kobe/MJ fadeaway. Besides those two*
