James Harrison was one of the last of his kind. QB's were terrified of him, and with good reason. He was an absolute monster against the run. In NFL history, only twice has a LB had 10.5 sacks or more and 100 tackles or more in a season. Both times it was James Harrison who did that. One of the many reasons he should go to the Hall of Fame...

My impression of Mr. Harrison is the he can accelerate coming around a corner while pushing a 300 lb. human being and does this at a 45° angle at times.

Many times opposing teams would blatantly hold Deebo because they couldn't stop him and play by the rules. Often the players that couldn't stop him were physically bigger than James. Mr. Harrison is a baaaad man !!!

That look that man gave guys said it all man!!! It said I'm gonna bulldozer somebody today!!! I was there in 2010 when he more than likely ended Mohammed Masaquoi's career. I still vividly remember the look he had after like "this is the game, you don't like it get the hell out". He truly was one of the last of his kind. Get'em Deebo!!

I still say that the biggest mistake of Mike Tomlin's career was benching Harrison for Anthony Chickillo. Harrison may have tarnished his legacy in Pittsburgh by finishing his career in New England but Tomlin and Keith Butler pushed him there and at the end of the day, he's still got kids to feed.

Best pass rusher I've ever seen, hands down. I understand why the league had to change the rules, but it's just not football anymore to me. I don't want guys to get injured, but the big plays and big hits are what made football fun to watch. Now it's just soft plays and shitty penalties for brushing your pinky finger on the QBs helmet. It's just not football anymore.

James Harrison, Steelers...Cards, game interception run back for six, how did he get thru all of those defensive players? Just like when Dale Earnhardt won his final race @ Talladega Super Speedway, the fastest track on the circuit, @ 2.66 miles long. Dale came from 17th place in 5 laps to win the race. That's unheard of there...He was the master. watch, live it.

I also think of the time Harrison body slammed a Cleveland fan who ran onto the field, and the time he punked Tom Brady (who was trash talking some rookie safety, until he backed into Harrison and made a hasty retreat). They weren't football plays, but they embody the kind of men that the manned the LB position in Pittsburgh.

Not so much emasculated, but the NFL built the league on huge hits and splash plays. With the new rules, there's a whole lot less of both. They made their bed, and now football is ruined. Still fun to reminisce about the good old days though. When hits were big and players were mean on the field.

They rarely called holding against him, it was damn near every play he was held, was the only way you could stop him. Sure Goodell had something to do with that.
