Im sure he has learned to put it out of his mind. When u are a traveling working musician, you learn to tune things out and find some peace and quiet in the most hectic situations. You have to, or you will go insane. I would guess to that the fans were instructed not to constantly talk to him like " James, James! Hey James! Love you James! Hey James? James!"

I saw them in... COUGH1989COUGH for my 14th birthday. Still can't believe my Mom let me go! It was the Damaged Justice tour. The Cult opened. The show was absolutely amazing, and their talent was on full display. There was this HUGE Lady of Justice statue on stage that crumbled at the end. Fire everywhere. 💥 Explosions! All in all, a pretty memorable night for a 14yr old kid, stoned to the bone, hanging w a bunch of 18-20 somethings. I sincerely hope you have an amazing experience when you see them, also. I'll be sitting on your shoulder, friend. LoL.

An artist's life is everything but easy. In this RU-vid short, you can watch James trying to relax a bit, even if it is for just a moment, because he seems to be under a lot of pressure and stress. And you should understand the reason for that: the members of the band have had to work pretty hard, for more than forty years, to reach the high levels of professionalism and fame they are currently enjoying at the present time.

It's a cake gig. The pressure was back when they were in the trenches fighting to be recognized. He's just old and tired is what you're seeing. Now I know how he keeps so much energy evenly through the whole concert he gets to go off stage smoke a bit of a cigar and a cup of coffee or a drink. Sit for a minute or two and re-energise and then go back out and amaze everyone that’s a good way to not get burnt out at a concert and it’s awesome to see
