This episode has tremendous value! Thanks to Jimmy and Jordan for these amazing insights. This one gets put on a continuous play loop as I try to process all of the pickleball wisdom.

This was one of the most informative discussions I’ve heard since starting pickleball eight months ago. Most all of what he said I had to learn on my own. I wish everyone who wants to improve would listen to what he said!!!

I totally get his point about having a coach. What is also similar is watching video of yourself. Most all players should video themselves and get a better feel for their fundamentals, shot selection, mistakes, etc

On the righty/lefty/thirds question: how about just letting the server have 1st choice on taking the 3rd?
@BrionesPickleball
@BrionesPickleball 2 месяца назад
That’s not a bad solution, but it’s really situational

Great point, a split step is made in so many sports. My football coach would call it “GHP” (Game Hitting Position). Loved the video!

I'm ~3.5/4.0 and I've never drilled. Never. Not even sure how to do it. Everyone I play with wants to go play. That James has got to have a very low fat body %. I was hoping to see him get on the table and jump up and down. That dude puts the ever-ready battery bunny to shame. In regards to being out of position on a court, I find with different playing partners they might not be as adept at playing a 3rd shot drop and so my position is different than playing with someone that plays a 3rd shot drop.

Who you have as a partner is def a great point. Partners being outta position is def a pet peeve of mine. Good thing is, you learn just as much about the game from someone who plays less than-with patience and strategy being the foremost.
