Great job channeling James Jamerson on a classic.

Ive always loved all versions of Sunny. First one that blew me away was the footage of james brown in italy with a very young bootsy collins on bass. Had trouble finding covers that lived up to that but this one always stood out to me even before i discovered Jamerson. Awesome job as always and thanks again for this wonderful series!

nice one, i don't know the James Brown version, but if Bootsy's on it, i've got to check it out :) i don't know if you know it, but there's a live version of this on one of Stevie's live albums where the bass goes absolutely insane, though it's not Jamerson on that recording. i'd love to do it on the channel one day! thanks for watching, it means a lot. :)

@@justsomebasslines oh shoot, nah i was definitely unaware. It wouldnt be Michael Henderson on bass, would it? I know he was famously playing bass for Stevie on that Live at London album but Sunny was on that track listing so i likely havent come across this. I'll check it out for sure tho, thanks!

You were right! Not a common song, but a excellent one. I love your Jameson Tuesdays, and supporting you on Patreon! Definitely worth it! Thanks Edit: by not common, I mean not commonly associated with James J!
