James May is in Japan and comes across a statue, with nothing amusing about it's design whatsoever... If you liked this video, don't forget to give it a like and share it with your friends!
You can hear in his voice over bit at the start that he's trying not to laugh as he says "nothing amusing about its design" Does look like the person had a mighty sword
James May’s wheezy laugh is about as wholesome and happy-inducing as a homemade chocolate chip cookie🍪. I can’t stop smiling and laughing when he starts laughing. It’s so easy to latch onto his amusement and go for a ride!
James may stages of laugh: 1. Start to giggle. 2. Momentarily composes himself and tries to say the correct line 3. Wheezes with enough energy to reignite a dead star 4. Starts laughing like a goose being stepped on and if it's really funny starts doing the "HE HE HEHEHE"
@@Team33Team33 What I find intriguing is that you have to come back again to comment something unrelated because you know your previous answer didn't sit right with you. If this is your only form of entertainment then I suggest finding a hobby.
No one’s laugh has ever set me off like James’ does. I love people who lose control of themselves when laughing. Not everyone can do it. Glad to say I can 🤣🤣🤣
@Yutube Lurker I've heard it said that the Russian sense of humor is the best in the world, honed it as it is by roughly an entire history of suffering. Of course, most Russian comedy doesn't make it to the Anglosphere, so we miss it.
Have you seen Top Gear and the Amazon show "The Grand Tour"? I wouldn't call them sophisticated, but their vacations / specials and car builds are some of the best TV out there with plenty of good humor.
Too bad he didn't bring his robot friend to help him out. James: "RoBoHon, Can you tell us about Momotaro?" RoBoHon: "Shijo-Ohashi is a bridge representative of Kyoto that crosses the Kamo River over Shijo Street. It is also called Gion Bashi."
We lived the entire series, but this part as well as his hysterics with BIM had us in stitches. I could watch this over and over and still Crack up every time. Can't wait to see what his Man in America produces!
It's entirely sobering that humanity strives to immortalize its own existence through iconic depictions of history, only for a silly goober to come along and laugh about penis.
The ancient Japanese swords used as prime weapon (tachi) usually have 80 cm long blades. At that time the average height of Japanese men was around 150cm. It should be long.
James' laugh, at any given point, is.. Just James. Just darned laugh when you hear it. May, you are a TRUE legend. And then there's Hammond crashing a bike into his garage. Clarkson: Hammond, do it again and annoy him. (Richard, you're wonderful. Don't listen to the Orange-ly, Original Orangutan; please do to annoy James though)
The reason why is this so funny to me is of all the trio, James is the last one to laugh at cultural differences he’s usually the one to take them very seriously
The Japanese sword is not worn sheathed upside down like this. The curvature of a Japanese sword is carried the other way round. Blade edge UP. Curved DOWN, not up like this carving. When drawn by the right hand the sword would be upside down if sheathed like this statue. This is clearly an artistic liberty in favor of this hero's endowment.
