Thank you for this very insightful discussion Mr Ncube. I am proud that our nation in spite of it's many shortcomings has brilliant minds like Mr. Mushore. I am saddened by the fact that they were initially denied a banking licence because they didn't have a political patron. This needs to change. It's also regrettable that Mr. Mushore was not allowed to work in his capacity as Town Clerk. I have no doubt in my mind that he would have made tremendous changes and added great value.

Uuuuuum this guy is a total package, intelligent, honest, straight forward, visionary, patriotic etc its sad tht Zimbabweans toolbox is full of the correct tools which can fix the country but unfortunately they not being used and the country continues to suffer, You can see this guy was going to be town clerk not for the salary but to help fix Harare, what a misd opportunity

Thank you for all your comments. Our country can be fixed if we have the right skills in the right places. A meritocracy if you like. Being in a leadership position because of the skills that you have , not because you have the military behind you or that you come from a particular area of the country. In addition to that we need strong institutions that can ensure that we are held to account where we fail to perform, fail to adhere to our constitution, and fail our country.

You gave a wonderful account of your life James. The good foundation you had as a child shows to this day. As I worked for Radio One, I watched and admired how your presence was felt when your team audited ZBC from Coopers and Lybrand in the '80s. You carried yourself very humbly, yet authoritative. I clearly remember feeling proud of you when you started your Bank. It was strange yet awesome that you achieved the staggering challenge. Can you imagine if you had to audit governments and reserve banks in Africa? God Bless.

Congrats to you James. The anger which is there below the surface has risen up again ! I hope to sublimate that rage. I and my family have left Zimbabwe twice now because of this rage and despair for the Jewel of Africa. May the greedy, evil and destructive ones find a way to see light and hope. Surely we can do better, I believe that you James, and I, are not alone. We stand for the majority !

To think a few months ago Gideon Gono sat in the studio and spoke as if he was a victim. It definitely changed how I looked at him but I also realized how warped a perspective certain people in Zimbabwe have about their part in the chaos and destruction we currently lay in. Anyone who is anyone knows Gono bought a lot of vehicles and property from distressed individuals due to him having access to forex that others didn't have, all the while having legitimate businesses and private bankers rung like a wet rag for every penny they had. This Interviewing platform has been great and often full of suprisingly candid revelations.

Thanks for this conversation...I’m personally still waiting for your interview Trevor...Sadly I feel we are under our own oppression as black people or in our case,Zimbabweans. We have mentally enslaved ourselves to the point that we don’t trust us.This mindset needs to change.I’ve also realised from all the people you have interviewed, those that went to the so called “A” schools, seem to have a different opinion on how to run our country, politically and economically. Most “A” school taught, want to be capitalistic and want the country to progress that way...and then we have the political issues where we have those that want the country to operate based on power and links that fought against the white government during the liberation struggle. What we fail to realise, however is that,we all suffered and still suffering under the white regime.Economically,we do not have the power to be challenging how the economy works because we are not in a position to do so,until we become one AFRICA.
