I fish the James River almost daily...well not as of a couple weeks. It's been kinda dead with the water rising so high the last month or so... Totally displaced structure , brought in new structure. So it's gunna be interesting once it clears up more. I bank and wade fish at the moment. Have a hand me down kayak, but It needs some work to be water worthy. But! Had a great year fishing the James in my area...Watkins to the city of Richmond area.

I actually just took my Mercury to have its 300 hour service work done there. Everything went fine. Had a really quick turn around to. Got it back the next day. Give them a call and I’m sure they can help you. I like the look of the Excels. 👍🏻
