About the video:
James Steele talks to Simon Shawcross about the false dichotomy between Cardiovascular exercise and Resistance Training.
James traces the origin of the dichotomy back to the late 1960's and Kenneth Cooper's pursuit to find a form of exercise that could "isolate" the aerobic pathway.
James elucidates that this "isolation" does not in fact occur during exercise as both the aerobic and anaerobic pathways work simultaneously.
This has also been shown during more recent studies that look at molecular pathways including AMPK and mTOR: intense Resistance Training stimulates both pathways.
