From a 53 year old East Texan who now lives in Michigan i can appreciate your faith and can relate to your ideas growing up in Texas. I come from a small town and raised by southern Baptist dems. It wasnt easy always having my own idea and even harder not to feel out of place, but i was popular for speaking out about what i thought was right. You remind me of a younger me but much more educated. Thank you for continuing to carry the torch of whats right and whats wrong.
Same here. Born in Beaumont, moved to Houston after college and found much more loving, accepting, generous, hospitable people in Houston than there were in the isolated city 90 miles away. I call Houston home, but I'm temporarily living in Florida for work. I'm moving back to Houston asap
I just finished watching you speaking with Anthony Davis on the weekend show and I, a self-described Jewish agnostic, want to tell you how impressed and inspired I am by you and your spiritual beliefs. I'm completely aligned with your world view. Are you alone in Congress or are there others in Congress who believe as you do? Please keep doing what you do; we need more people like you.
I imagine, even though Bernie Sanders does not share his personal beliefs about God, that he is closer to following Jesus's teachings than some of his colleagues that are preaching Christian Nathionalism.
Wether you agree with his beliefs or not isn't the point, the point is you both have the equal right to believe what you wish. This poster did not disparage anyone's beliefs on here, simple what he or she believes, unlike yourself. I take no issue with your beliefs, I do take issue with you supposing to know why another person believes what they do when I think its safe to say, you don't even know them. @ian_bruh1
@@Chaotic_Order 1. You can call yourself Christian, and deny "healthcare" to the sick. He is clearly talking about government spending/programs. Christians do not believe in relying on the government to help others. It is better they do it themselves (which they do), and these policies often make things worse for most people, driving up the cost of insurance, drugs, and medical procedures. 2. You can call yourself a Christian and vote to cut food stamps for the poor for the same reasons as above. 3. You can call yourself a Christian and reject the stranger seeking asylum at our southern border. The Bible clearly shows that sovereignty of states is acceptable. Christians can and do go to external countries where these people are from and help in a magnitude of ways there, but there is no obligation to allow them into your own country. 4. Destroying God's creation with greenhouse gasses is a very complicated, unsolved issue. Human existence is obviously going to take a toll on the environment, as we need it to survive and flourish as a species. Eliminating all "carbon emissions" is not sustainable for the human condition at this time and would cause vast amounts of suffering and poverty. Additionally, catastrophic government spending to combat "climate change" is not a real solution and never will be. 5. You can't call yourself a Christian and discriminate on your neighbor based on their race. True. Gender. In what way? God shows a clear distinction between the roles of male and female, because men and women are not the same, therefore they can not always be treated the same. Sexual orientation. You do not have to and should not enable sin and/or indulge in it. 6. He personally knows Jews, Buddhists, atheists, etc. who are more Christlike than some self-proclaimed Christians. He doesn't know what "Christlike" even looks like. You cannot reject Christ Himself and be "Christlike". Either way, Christians are not perfect, we are sinful humans like anyone else, and while we try to hold ourselves to Christ's standard, we often fall short.
Where were the Christians like James when I was being forged? I would have been a pastor or doing something for Christ with my life. Now I just play with the devil because that's what I saw everyone else doing but denying they do when you ask why? I just decided that's how the world is and will always be. Hearing you all gives me hope for the world. I just wish this could have reached me sooner😢
False Profits, Right? Is that what they're called? Thank you James for keeping up the good fight. I do not believe, but you give me comfort knowing you're living what they "say they believe".🏳🌈
As far as I concern, the definition of “Christian” is “Person who believes that Jesus Christ actually exists”. Lucifer himself may be a “Christian” because he constantly opposes Jesus’ works. Of course Lucifer is no Saint since he refuses to follow His Way. Yep, you right that anyone who keep proclaiming oneself as a “Christian” is no saint.
When certain politicians claim to be Christian while constantly doing Antichrist activities, that is the actual definition of using the Lord’s name in vain. It’s not saying OMG, or use His name to emphasize magnitude, but as a means to selfish ends.
you can deny the systrm and policies by wich one must submit to, to receive that healthcare. 2. I recall Jerusalem being a walled city with gates. There is a purpose to borders and boundaries. Do you lock the door to your home at night?
Redefining Christianity to fit a specific narrative is disingenuous. Christianity teaches that each individual should help those in need, but it never prescribes Christians to give money to the government and trust the government to provide humanitarian aid. Humanitarian efforts are important in true Christianity, but not the most important issue.
James Talirico: show kindness and love to every living thing. Also James Talirico: unless it’s an unborn child in a womb. Then you can kill it. Man of god my ass….
You can always make the gospel say whatever you want it to say. Never read a Bible but you can lecture us on what it means to be Christlike? Since when has regulating a border been anti-christ?
This is stupid. What this man is calling for is for Christians to have government do their jobs. It is the job of the church, not the state, to care for the poor.
Prosperity preachers screwed the poor by getting rich off their donations, doing the complete opposite of what God would want them to do. Would any of these preachers help one of their followers financially if they hit hard times? I highly doubt it.
