Loved his comment on stage before singing his Carole King written hit, that he'd "heard he hung out a lot with Carole King" back in the old days. His self deprecating humor referencing his lack of memory during his long- past addiction are welcomed levity. Clever.
@@colinkavanagh1603 he's freaking hysterical. Some woman broke into the pit area at wolf trap, which is gated for ticket holders. She stood in front of him, doing like a whole "bow" (I get it, he is great, but...) So he just kept singing, and then when he finished the song some older feller yelled real loud, " turn down the bass." So JT said, i'll try to do something about that, sorry" and then he asked us was if it was a full moon. Pretty sure the whole crowd got it. (The ushers nicely removed the fan who was standing in front of the first row. The people who paid $300 for pit seats were prob wondering WTH but it worked out.)
@@colinkavanagh1603 only 2 fans went berserk, but it was quick. JT was chill. No one got ejected or anything. The production was so awesome - 2 huge screens on each sides of the house. Wolf trap is so nice, we always joined their subscription series plan so we could get advanced concert notifications (for good seats inside) and it's kind of small, even the lawn is a nice evening if the weather holds. I saw him in Tuscon last year, with Jackson. Omg that was great. Jackson plays in PHX with his newest band almost every summer and usually make it to that show.
