Saw him 18 months ago in London. He never left the stage, even in intermission. Talking with fans, signing autographs. If you closed your eyes, it was yesterday. Angel voice, unchanged. Bliss.

Saw James in concert in Chicago in 1972, been a fan since, such a soothing voice.

Everyone needs a little James Taylor in their life.🙌

James Taylor is a legend !

The first version of “upon the roof” i heard years back was on a double live cd from james, and at the time thought, that it was a song that he had written, not realizing till later that Carole king had let him perform it, and she was the original writer of it! James’s version of the song is best in my opinion, having heard both, but put them both together to make music, and its a real treat, ! The harmonies, and musicality, and everything. Thanks to both of you, for some amazing music over these past several decades !

This is good stuff! I love our country and all the talented musicians, so grateful for this tribute to Carole King and the other award winners, much deserved!

Sweet baby James ! I’ve loved him since I was a little girl . Never in my dreams did I ever imagine being able to see him in concert! I was surprised for my birthday with tickets to go see my favorite musician ! Well I spent half of the concert In the ladies room throwing up concession food 😢.. I’m still happy I was at least able to catch the end ! Keep on making the world a brighter space with your soothing voice! ☮️ ✌️

Carole King and Lesley Gore were so young trying to break into a man's musical world . But their sheer talent forced many a man to just shut up and listen. Both were beast songwriters. RIP Lesley and rock on Carole!

Saw the play, “Beautiful “, the Carol King story in London. She is truly one of the greatest song writer/ performers of all time.

How can one not love this guy and his music..i (1957) wouldnt have want to miss any of the late sixty up to now!

One of unmistakable voices…saw him in Philly, he evened up for the Eagles…wow, what a show!

Love Carol’s version also, but as music history has shown us, some songs are made for certain artists. King/Taylor made the magic with “You’ve Got A Friend” and “ Up On The Roof” Now we also have to remember that Goffin/King “ Roof” also was a hit in ‘62 with The Drifters.

I needed this today. I enjoyed every second of this video. A brief look back to a more normal, less scary time. Didn’t feel that way then, but little did we know what was waiting for us.

I often wonder if JT realizes how much his music has touched, and comforted, and soothed so many. He is one of the artists I grew up with, and to say he influenced my life, would be an understatement! He is one I lived by, that literally helped to shape me, and I found, and still find solace in his music. He is simply... a great creative artist! I am planning on seeing him in a few months in Tacoma! Cant wait!!!! God bless and thank you for always being there J T. You always were you know... to a teenager in the 60s...

One of the best...from Lagos, Portugal

First time I ever heard this song was back in the 80's on Sesame Street when I was a child, this song is written by Carole King and her husband. A few artist sang this song like The Drifters and Kenny Lynch but I prefer James Taylor version and I do not see any problem with Michelle Obama sitting next to Carole, come people leave the hate behind and just enjoy the beautiful music.
