Wheres the stars that we were told at beginning would be coming ffp aye but eddie seems to love players that arent good enough for the team theyre at.. he also likes giving year contract extensions out
If we can get him for that price, Snap his hand off. But a lot of outlets report Burnley will reject the deal cos they want double that. For that kinda price, they can stick it
I agree on Longstaff; it would be short sighted to sell him this season. We'll need him as a squad player for 25-26 and next season to help share the load to get that European place, some good cup runs, without pushing the team to injuries. A fit Longstaff in the right games is a plus. Last years over used, injured and probably under confident because of the fan reaction to his performances brought on by overuse is not the Longstaff we should measure but the previous season.
If you're looking that far down the road why wouldn't we be able to fill Longstaffs position by then? I believe with Tonali and the rest he really won't get a lot of time on the pitch therefore he'll never be worth as much as he is now. I sell him as long as it keeps us from recieving a points deduction next season. Top 4 should be the goal and a major points deduction would really hurt us if we are in a tight fight for a spot in the top 4
I'm delighted, I saw him when burnley signed him and thought he looked good. 21 years old he's still learning great signing for us. He'll be a top keeper.
I bet Eddie howe would argue with ya there. Trafford is potential. Burnley defence wasn't the best like Adam says he lost confidence. Give the guy a chance.
Trafford is perfect Eddie signing, young, abit of prem experience and lots of potential! Just think, at his age he can be moulded into the best "good with his feet, sweeper keeper" ever! Aswell with Longstaff its us the fans are partially to blame with how low his price is atm! When ever other teams see us slating him all the time no wonder! There's alot of context to why Longstaff hasn't been amazing this season just gone. He sacrificed himself for the team performance wise and risk of injury wise, he agreed with Howe that because he's not the most talented player in midfield, he'll play with 50% or lower fitness so the more talented players could get back to full fitness. There was literally know one else to play in CM at the peak of the injury crysis. He easily could of been a premadona and insisted he wasn't playing, to rest and get to 100% but he didn't, he stepped up knowing he's risking himself a major injury and also average performances which he knew us fans will slate him for! I have big respect for Longstaff and I agree with you Adam I would not sell him for anything under 25m. At one point he was linked with ManUre for 70m remember? Availability is one of the most important attributes and I am worried that we have no one to sell. If we sell Trippier we need another RB because can Tino and Kraft stay fit all season? I don't think so. We need a new striker anyways so we should look to sell Wilson for 10-20m (depending on the buying teams injury policy 😅) Miggy also should be sold, we have Murphy, Barnes, Minteh and a new RW signing so he isn't needed anymore, we could probably sell him back to MLS for 10-15m or to Saudi for 70m 😅. Anyway ramble over, thanks for video Adam P
When Longstaffe plays, Bruno’s game steps up, that’s been proved. I think we should keep him for a year. Other players like Dubs, (been good for us but past his best now), Wilson (SO injury prone), and Almiron (love him to bits but no end product any more), need to go first to recoup some money.
Adam, I think that the money you get is put straight into your account, whilst purchases are amortised over about 3 years or so. So if we sold anyone for £15M we could actually by someone for 3-4 times that value. I haven't checked the latest rules but that is how it was.
Great shot stopper but still suspect with other things (abit like pope) let's just hope his distribution and ball at his feet is alot better than Pope 🤞🏻. But still young and great prospect, so with good coaching this kid could go far
@@RENCHER Eddie Howe will be sacked. We're going backwards and his favouritism towards British players will cost him his job. We need 18 new players. Trafford is deadwood.
The Cherries fans channel or one of them has issued a very nice.. What we can expect from Lloyd Kelly. im sure the skill and cover can help Sound base to build youth for then and now
Longstaff may be worth more but he only has 1 year left on his deal. Also, Kelly and Trafford are under whelming as signings at best. However, I felt the same about AG10 so let’s see how it goes. Need a quality exciting CB and RW next!
What are you talking about? Never mind 2 or 3 years? U put him in straight away, he will fit in perfectly!!" I say ' get rid off the old keeper straight away 'and put in james and see the results 👏 what a fantastic signing 👏 well done eddie howe... we really need this keeper, he's brilliant for the club 👏 I will say? I was really worried because are goal keepers have all been crapp!!" But now' we have a real deal class keeper, we are surely going to do fantastically well, am vary proud happy and so excited for the toon, we are going to do brilliantly 👏 we have waited Sutch a long time to get to the top, but I no as well as all the fans that we are going in the right direction...
im happy with James Trafford hes young and will be a top keeper as for longstaff i would keep him as a squad player hes better than he showed last season he scored 8 goals with an injury what othere box to box midfielder could do that if he can get the form from season before with the goals he will be worth about 50 to 60 mill great vid adam hope your well now lad
He’s a good buy for the future, it’s a shame that it means we will probably miss out on that Georgian keeper from Valencia because he could be a huge keeper for the future.
Can't say anything about the players we sign because look at our past signings we all went mad about! Gordon, Burn, livramento etc..... so let's back Trafford now and hopefully he takes over for Pope.
We need 2 goalies, live pav n heslop. Shay n harper, theres nobody at the club really to challenge pope this could be an awesome signing to bring out the absolute best in pope
We have to sell someone by June 30th for this years financial fair play to even the books, once that passes though we have funds to spend from the 2024 - 2025 season as the 3 year starts again
He’s a good goalkeeper, room for improvement doesn’t catch the ball much tends to parry shots but otherwise solid. Still think we should have gone for Mamardashvili.
Brilliant signing . This lad is a good keeper. Longstaff I would sell if we want to take another step to win something I'm afraid we need better players than longstaff. Get rid of mediocre players he's a championship player. End of.
I would argue that long staff is trash and that he was not injured towards the end of the season however confirmed he was fully fit.the reason he played every minute of every game was the idiot Howe not changing the system to a two midfield which as well as burn cost us results
I think they will get him and Lloyd kelly for a combined £15 million which will pave the way for a top drawer right wing signing! If we can get a 10 plus goal a season right winger we will improve massively!
I think that's probably the plan. Trafford is relatively inexpensive and will probably just be our second keeper while he's still developing over the next year or so. I expect they are prioritising finding a RW who is pacy, can beat people, can get 10+ goals a season, and who is comfortable playing up front too. Someone like Mbuemo or Olise. That sort of player is going to cost a lot more than a keeper unless we get very lucky. That would give us a really potent and versatile front line who can play interchangeably, and that alsohelps when mitigating for injuries.
@@marmedli9124 willock was bought for £28 million and he’s far better player when fit. Longstaff isn’t anywhere near as good £15 million for him and your ripping off the buying team
@@Belly81longstaff is a solid squad player for our current position. He had a great season the year before last. If it wasn’t for FFP a sale wouldn’t even be a consideration
Aden now Saudi have come to the end of the petrol dollar agreement of last 70 years ,and are now no longer using the dollar, maybe we should revalue our squad in Gold sounds crazy but is going to happen watch this space pal
Well I hope it doesn’t set the tone for our signing approach this summer. It’s probably a good investment in the long term But doesn’t help much with our needs right now and that’s 15m or whatever gone from our spending pot
Agree. Obviously didn't learn from last summer. Signing players not going to start, another season with injuries and the transfer kitty completely wasted yet again. I cant see the fascination with signing for the future. Bring in experienced pros to get the club an established top 6 club for the NOW, then look for youngsters. Wont win anything with kids.
Longstaff only has a year on his contract remaining. That’s why the fee is only £15m. Wonder if we need to keep him to keep Tonali on his toes, as although he looked class at times, didn’t pull up too many trees before the ban started. Why not play Minteh rather than spend £60m on Olise - who will probably go to Chelsea or Man Utd anyway? Sell Miggy. Howe could develop Minteh to be a world beater, just like Gordon. Then we’ll have the most sought after and lightning front 3 in the PL.
Trafford fits with our strategy of signing young players with bags of potential and letting them develop into star Premier League players, such as Isak, Botman, Gordon and soon Livramento, Hall and Tonali Chelsea are obviously adopting a similar strategy, however they are paying sums as if the players are finished articles and rather foolishly doing it all in one go rather than a transfer window at a time
Pope is better than anyone we've had in a long long time. Don't get why people are acting like he's not. Not great with his feet or distribution but as a Sweeper and a shot stopper he's class.
He’s prone to errors, and struggled in the league even if it was Burnley. But we did sign pope from Burnley after they went down the last time and he’s been fab mostly. So might be a smart thing. To me that means Martin is leaving surely. Olise - forget it. Doubt we will sign anyone else until someone leaves.
I thought Trafford was a great option before he was mentioned. When we released 2 young keepers, I realised we need a young keeper. Much better back up than Dubs
Look at klarius he was on fire till he had that bad year at Liverpool and he was never the same I just hop the kid is ok in himself because why would Burnley not even have him has a number 2 I don't get that but everybody needs that chance and if he does come then how ya doing Sun hahahah
There's no chance we're signing a player like olise. Weve done our money. Players now realise were not serious and wont come to us. We fucked ourselves by having that abysmal transfer window last summer and then eddie howe fucking us in loads of games against the likes of luton town. It cost us. Owners arent serious.
i think we should put some respect on Dubravka Juventus try to sign him before after just he joined us but he decided to stay loyal and said he love everything about us.. i wouldn't call him a bad goalkeeper even just for that loyalty to us..
largely agree Adam, think Trafford is an excellent signing at a good price, if Kompany hadn't persisted with attacking football when he didn't have the players to do it, he'd be double that price. Longstaff is a reluctant sale but if he have to raise money it's a position we have plenty of cover in, especially with no Europe, and he's pure profit. He's worth 20-25 million though.
Personally think trafford is massively overrated and wouldnt sell longstaff for less than £20 million.would also keep minteh and guve him a chance rather than go spend £40/50 million on another rw
Respect Dubravka please, he served us very well and is a very honest player. That's what we ask for so don't talk down on him like that. Trafford is good on his feet, that where he beats both Dubi and Pope. I don't think he'll start but I can see why Howe wants him.
He was thrown in at the deep end with Burnley and it was too soon for him. The lad is top draw, I watched him in the U21 and said then he will be the next England no 1
Adam Burnley paid 19 mill also Man city get some of the sale Money so why would Burnley let him go for 15 Mill its not Happening mate not at that price its a Massive Loss for Burnley man
