Friends from church lost their 17 year old son this past week…they just called and asked if I knew a song by Jars of Clay called ‘All My Tears’ and if I’d sing it at Elijah’s memorial on Sat…I’d never heard it, but in looking it up, I found this! Thank you Jamey Johnson! I’ll be singing your version instead!

I can't tell you how much this comforts me. My husband passed away last spring. He was a country boy at heart and wanted his ashes spread on his favorite flyfishing river in the high mountains of Utah. His ashes are now part of that beautiful river but he is finally free from pain and suffering and with our Lord in heaven.

There for a hot minute I struggled . Life and death for miles on the trail. I remember listening to this as I mused looking into the fire. Close to give up really. But then I listened and felt to pray a prayer … So I did…. May never meet you in this life but your my friend . Be blessed big brother

When I heard this song chills came over my body with a warm calm feeling and I couldn't help but think that maybe in some spiritual way she had you write this song for me to hear assuring me that she is with her father in heaven and that she is ok. I think it might have been around the Indiana area (we were on our way from Ohio to Illinois) Around 2005. I had taken a picture and well, forgotten about it. Years later when looking through photos I thought I'd look your music up out of curiosity. I heard your music and was drawn to it. I really liked "in color" and "high cost of living" but my favorites have been "mary go round" and "that's how i don't love you". In any case. Thank you for sticking up for us farmers. I know farmaid isn't for us northern irish farmers here, but it's good to see that farmaid exists for the U.S. Good stuff! Happy new year
