So I’m fairly new to SCD. Are these former competitors, celebs who wanted to do the regular show but couldn’t, or just random celebs?

@@AndrewOeste They're just random celebs, chosen especially for the Xmas show. Sometimes they'll go on to to the main show but that's pretty rare. In the past, they used former Strictly celeb contestants, but since about 2019 it's random celebs. Usually the pros in the Xmas specials are the ones who've been voted out early in the main show (they usually tape the Xmas special around late November so obviously the pros who are still busy with the main show can't do it)

@@AndrewOeste They do train but not sure how long for. It's probably not as intense as the training for the main show. I'd say they get about 2- 3 weeks of training before the show as the professionals taking part have often been voted out of the main show by the time training for the Christmas show takes place.

ellie has the dance experience as well as she went to theatre school so i found that unfair

I think Jamie would be great on SCD but it's funny how laytons dance experience was questioned through out his whole experience on the show. Jamie who's straight everyone is now wanting him on the show with his clear dance experience

@@user-hj8qe2ct1i emmerdale corrie and eastenders. can confirm that emmerdale was probably the worst. ee has been fantastic this year. corrie had 1 good storyline that they then ruined by turning it into a love triangle.
