Thanks for posting this! I was at Salle Pleyel and still cannot believe the brilliance of this wonderful setting. Having seen Jamie quite a few times in the past I must say, this performance - the energy of it - really stands out. Such a unique entertainer and excellent musician - goosebumps every time!
It was such a fantastic and memorable night. When we first saw only the piano our reaction was where is his band? It was just unbelievable and we are so happy to see the videos here.
He is mega talented but come on you can’t be serious with that. Dinah Washington’s version is one of the finest American music recordings ever made. I will give you that it’s probably the second best version but to say it’s better is ludicrous.
