"Fifty Shades Freed" hunk Jamie Dornan admitted to Ellen he starts to panic when he meets fans who think he's actually Christian Grey with his own Red Room.
Why? Most actors love it. Emilia Clarke loves *being* the mother of dragons. Only when actors are solely out for the money they don’t give a shit about the character
Hyacinth yes but you do all that before you really understand the weight of the commitment (aka the reputation, how crappy the film might turn out, obsessive fans, etc) and if he hated doing the first one (but it's a paycheck), he was automatically unable to get out of the next two.
Hyacinth yeah he auditioned, but most actors will audition for even the crappiest roles, if they fit the type needed, and are hungry for a role. Robert Pattinson, auditioned for twlight while he was like living in his car, but it was a popular book series so he auditioned. He and Kristen both hated the movies, but they were getting paid
HouseMDaddict You can kind of see he doesn’t seem excited to be associated with the movies. I get a similar vibe from Dakota as well. I mean, who would want to be associated with a franchise who gets more bad publicity than anything else? The books were better in my opinion, but overall crappy writing compared to other books and series. 🤷🏻♀️But if you’re looking for some entertainment with a pinch of awkwardness, these movies are your go to.
Toto Toto It gives me the same vibe as when Robert Pattinson was done with Twilight. Although in that case he started talking more about the movies primarily to make fun of them hahah.
At first I definitely thought she had a movie room in her house but then I realized that some people call the living room, or room they keep the main tv, a media room. So she could mean it like that
Poor Robert Pattinson had psycho fans that would scratch their necks and ask him to bite them at meet n greets. It's ironic (fifty shades was based on a twilight fanfic) that Jamie gets creepy, obsessed fans too. It's cute when you're a kid and go "hi Jack Sparrow" to Johnny Depp, but if you're old enough to remove actors from roles, don't be weird/creepy.
AeRin r5_twilight Yes the author wrote it first as fan fiction for twilight but then changed the characters and made it her own. It’s set in Seattle, the man is rich and handsome, the girl is shy and awkward, and works at a hardware store...
Even though it's sad that people won't see him as Christian Grey again, I'm actually a little glad. I mean people have literally started thinking of him as nothing more than a character of Fifty Shades. They would hate him, judge him, say nasty things about his personal life and wife. That is literally too much. Yes, this franchise has given him a lot - he got worldwide famous but it's time that people finally get to see him as Jamie Dornan and not just Christian Grey. It's time that they finally see how talented he is, how he has an incredible sense of humour and a lovely personality (along with a sexy accent) & what great set of acting skills he has, because right now they completely overlook his other roles. I just wish and hope the best for him ❤️
Anjushree Verma I completely agree. Fifty Shades was the first role I had ever seen him in, and the first time I had ever heard his name, but as big a fan as I am, I still treat him as a person and care about him in the same way. I mean I see Christian as a real person, but if I would ever meet Jamie in real life, I would do the best I could to not make him feel more uncomfortable than he already is. He deserves better than that, and hopefully other people can treat him with more respect, whether or not they enjoy Fifty Shades.
It's only mean they are a professional (a success one) who could bring out the character from the book as a "living real" one. Oh and the actress and all the crew too i won't discredit them all just because you are such a fanatic fans whose trying battle their own battle.
I really love the movie...I don't actually get tired of watching it repeatedly, all the actors are super I sometimes forget that they are just playing 🥂🎉💖
Ellen is right. Jamie Dornan was chillingly good in The Fall. He easily deserved the Irish equivalent of the Emmy for that performance. The writing was stunning. Had the screenwriter of The Fall had the opportunity to write the screenplay for these three movies - both actors would be winning positive awards verses being nominated for terrible awards. JD is an amazing actor. I think we can look forward to many good things from him going forward. That said- I'm going to miss the love story that is the true heart of the Fifty Shades trilogy.
Rita Johnson Fall Fall. I know that Paul Spector was easy to play. He is killer psiho and negative but thank to FSOG and Jamie we like him. I watched Fall on tv before anyone knows for Jamie Dornan and i remember that i said oh this is some serial already seen i mean plot.Without Gillian Anderson there will be no Fall. It was much more harder to play C Grey then Paul Spector coz with that caracter you cannot fail.Such a pity that Jamie gives all credit to Fall and is ashamed of FSOG what gave him a fame and lot of money.
He's such a down to earth guy. I don't think he knew what he was getting into. At least it's the last film. But he will always be known as Christian grey the fifty shades guy. That's how he got got known anyway
In that moment she said " You are on the run" (about end of The Fall) I feel so sorry for Jamie because it was so obvious she didnt see that third one:-(
Jamie is amazing! I admire your determination to prove that it's not just the pretty face ... and it's not! He is an excellent actor! I've watched all your movies and just loved it! His performance in The Fall was fantastic!
I know there is so much of love making scenes in 50 shades movie... But i really really like that movie for the prefect love story they've shown in it.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.. I fell for it.... They have good chemistry... And i just love the way he cares for her...
If you liked him on Ellen, you should watch his interviews on the Graham Norton show. He is so funny and a great story teller. Especially the story about how he walks weird and another about him gluing a wig on himself. I highly recommend watching those. 😊
I don't watch those movies but I always watch his interviews. Gotta love his face and his absolute inability to hide his contempt towards fifty shades hahahaha
Hello Ellen Am 24 years old girl from Pakistan and belong to a Christian family i love your show and i like you also you are very kind and pretty and i saw you have very kind heart Ellen I want to come to the USA for job I applied 3 times but got rejection i have responsibilities so i saw you help out people can you help me also to get over there for job I would be very thankful to you for this kindness. God bless you
I feel you Ellen; when I watched Fifty Shades for the first time, I was so happy that my mom had just gone to bed and I was in the living room by myself. That would've been awkward, although my dad has walked in on a sex scene before. 😂
