I knew as soon as he fell that first time cause I know that feeling, when it just pops out a tiny bit and feels weak and loose. It fucking sucks. He's a nutcase for going so hard afterward.
@@GoukiCastle im not even a skater i wouldn't know shit but im addicted to the characters and bad ass people in the skate world makes me wanna buy a board for sure
Gnarly tricks are more about focus and commitment than talent. There are thousands of guys who could krook an 18. If you can krook an 8 you can krook an 18. Very, very few have the stones to try though. Ryan didn't grow up a gnarly skater as a kid. He turned into that guy after realizing that if you commit 100% you have a good chance of making it. In less than a year he went from local shop sponsored kid who did regular street to a super gnarly guy doing massive rails and gaps. It was amazing to watch. Great guy.
@@jasondashney true...however its no coincidence these guys are generally a similar body type, under 5'-6- 5'9, 130-150lbs. they're like fucking acrobats, all bouncy and shit. Its rare to see a dude like...well Jamie, ironically Im talking about this and not even thinking of whose there. Bigger guys tend to fall like a sack of potatoes and as such don't skate this kind of stuff, Jamie is bit of a unicorn, pink rainbow fur and a horn under th hat. just kidding thats stupid, but ya it takes a certain agile type to skate stuff like that even long enough to gain the confidence necessary to get good at it. Im not trying to play devils advocate youre totally right, the body type thing is real too tho.
I can't imagine trying to land a flip trick on that many stairs. The grind is crazy too, but just flipping anything down this many stairs seems impossible.
I watched one of jamie foys parts 4 months ago. It Inspired me to gt back in to it. I'm 34 and been skating ever since it's the joy after landing the trick that I love.❤❤
I’m genuinely speechless. While watching - not so. I don’t think I’ve ever yelled so loudly at my TV. So stoked for both of them. Ryan’s tre was majestically epic. Respect.
The mental battle for skateboarders is gnarly in itself. Especially once your homie lands his trick first try and all eyes on you.. just adds to the pressure. And yet we overcome! Much respect to both guys
i love that this is how skateboarding is now. i remember going to spots all over tampa with my buds and just doing big shit with the motivation we all brought to the spot. maybe having a crappy vhs recorder to capture moments. but nothing like this. these dudes have a whole team of people encouraging them and you can just feel the positive energy from the day through the footage. one of the best things about the internet imo.
I watched this live and after watching again, I still she'd a tear. If you don't understand skateboarding this is it. To get a hug like that from someone on"another team" says something. The fact that they're on different teams yet aren't "opponents" says more. Bragg's and T-Pud's sincere enjoyment is gratifying to observe. Bragg, ETN was on point and WE NEED NEW EPISODES OF YOUR IDEAS!
Thanks for throwing this up here and the four wheels live too! I haven't skated in almost a year and I'm so stoked on these videos, can't wait for summer! Gnarly stairs are gnarly!
next time FILMERS please stay zoomed OUT, these fools are so zoomed in i cant even see the whole stair in the shot of them skating it. WTF?! u cant even tell how massive the stair is
this is exactly the type of contest ive always wanted to see two homie, lots of friends, no judge, no scores, real spot, as much time as they need simply perfect
I love the mutual love, support and respect everyone gives eachother..everyone is soo stoked on eachother..I feel like the gnarly support of ur peers is probaly almost as rewarding as a solid make!
Ps. The time from when Ryan catches his board til the wheels hit the ground probaly felt soooo long to him. If it was any taller the board would have started to floaty.
This would be so high stakes.. Imagine this huge crowd gathered to watch you skate a massive set and then you get fucked up first try? That's wayy to much pressure...
Pro skateboarding is crazy, there is not even a direct reward for landing the trick, but the risk is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills for the rest of your life.
@@mitchio83 yeah dude obviously there is the reward in that you stay relevant and you're career will continue but at a certain level I think it's the adrenaline of landing this gnarly shit that drives these dudes. To many skaters do this shit and don't get paid shit for it and continue to go for it everyday dispite that.
Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (Jn 3:16" But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17)^
Thank you for posting this session. These guys keep pushing the boundaries of skating. And a special shout out for calling out Chad Fernandez. Watching the older hitters support the younger hitters is dope. Crazy to see those two hammers laid down in 15 minutes and Jamie’s first try.
Man Decenzo & Foy are both straight BEASTS on the board man! That K Grind was super gnarly, but I just still to this day can't believe how good & clean that Ryan did the Tre Flip within what, like 6 or 7 actual tries down the set. Absolutely AMAZING & I don't think it could've been done better by anyone and I believe that still to this day. Congrats again to Ryan & Jamie on both their tricks down the massive huge Echo 18 Stair! 🗣💯🔥💪💯🔥💪
