I would really like to be able to enjoy these battles more, but being from America I am missing a lot of context here that the British audience understands. I don't know any of these people, so the inside references go right over my head, as do many of the British terms. Shame really, because they seem funny.

Eton is a very expensive private school for boys (costs around $57k per year for 5 years, ages 13-18) that educated most of our Prime Ministers. We have ‘Eton Mess’, it’s a delicious dessert, made from meringue and strawberrys. You can sometimes order it from a restaurant or cafe. There might be a few other references you’ve missed :-).
