Jamie Lee has always been extraordinary. Unapologetically herself. I'm 55 and i hope to be that amazing and gracious and mindful. Shes an amazing example of human behavior we should all aspire to emulate.❤️ And Kelly saying "you are a rock star ma'am" was adorable.
Yes! and like the dog in the book she mentioned, asking "do you like my hat?" and doesn't take it personally when the other one answers "no, i don't like that hat!". Being different and having different preferences is something to celebrate and not be offended by.
Kelly is an amazing host! She takes the very BEST of all past TV hosts: articulate, intelligent, funny, and she is so good, the guests forget they are being interviewed. I feel like I am always watching Kelly chat with friends in her living room. She is so entertaining!
Jamie Lee is literally one of the kindest people in that industry. Has nothing but nice things to say about everyone who crosses her path. Very refreshing, even from an older actress. The amount of vitriol we have in hollywood is disgusting.
Yes! Like in musicals, we can watch 2:00pm (idk on other countries but we watched Hamilton when they toured here in the Philippines at 2:00 pm slot).. so why not concerts?
I love Jamie Lee Curtis. She is outspoken, maybe a bit rude, but always honest. And yes, I also get into my pajamas by 4:30 pm. She is a typical over 60 female who loves life!
Go, Dog, Go is one of my childhood favorites... and I often say, "Do you like my hat?" "No, I do not like your hat." "Good-bye." "Good-bye." That's the one bit that has stuck in my brain forever (I'm in my mid-50s). I remember the illustrations like I read it yesterday... but I only recently realized it wasn't a Dr. Seuss book! I knew JLC was cool... this just added to it. She is in my favorite movie ("A Fish Called Wanda").
I'm going to put this on dating sites from now on whenever I feel like using them cuz I'm too tired but I'm an advocate of sleep foreplay meaning I will be home in my pajamas while you're at the bar😂
A lot of 80s and 90s babies' parents used "one more sleep", my mom included, so it's just adorable that there's a book about it. "Three more sleeps until Santa comes" or "5 more sleeps until we go to Grandma's house". I think my elementary teachers used it too now that I think about it.
In the crappie weather of USA, it made my day to see Jamie Lee and Jody Foster in one week!! Don't watch TV anymore but say saw interviews scroll and I had to watch! I laughed and was in awe to see these powerful women!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉At 61,we need to be cheerleaders for each other!
Bringing back matinee shows 100% support this! I'm also old. Remember going to Sunday Hardcore matinee shows in NYC that started at 2PM. They were the best! Home in time for dinner!
Girls im for it!! Im 55 and miss concerts!! I was an 80's rock head and seen them all and miss them! There are days i never get out of my pj's lol..... You two women are two of my favs!!
I only understood it after I watched a channel called "Cinema Therapy" there a licensed therapist and movie director break down films and talks about various topics related to mental health and filmmaking using a different film each time. It's a really great channel on RU-vid and their episode on that movie is fantastic (and honestly got me to watch the movie, because originally it was SO not my kind of movie because it looks way too weird for me)! I mean, the movie is still too weird for me to watch again, but I understood what it was trying to say thanks to that RU-vid channel.
The thing is people constantly talk about how much Kelly talks over the guest or talks too much to the guest She has insane respect for for JLC so she's trying not to stomp over anythings she saying which is why yeah is coming out a lot and I think it's barely out of respect and admiration
As soon as JLC said, "Go Dog Go," my mind went right to the "Do you Like my Hat?" scene. I'm 63 yrs old, so that's a long ride back for me. But something about that exchange -- the simplicity; the rhythm of the words; the curt-but-not-rude -ness of it all -- has just hugged my brain for all these years.
JAMIE LEE CURTIS., HAS / WILL HAVE THE PERFECT FEMALE BODY EVER. FROM DAY ONE THE PERFECT ACTOR , PURE CLASS AND THE KINDEST LADY YOU WILL EVER MEET. I LOVED HER FROM OUR FIRST TALK.
Toronto has been having meetings about having more night life As a singer in my 50s I am pushing for matinees or at the very least shows at 7pm. I have a big circle of musician friends (Roula Said, Bassett, Polsky, Naghmeh Farahmand, Aqua Nibii Waawaaskone and more) and I met them during the day. It can't be that hard.
Okay like 10 comments above you someone's complaining that Kelly just said yeah too many times because she was letting Jamie talk She can't ever win with those of you who have issues with her
My favorite New Year’s Eve party was the 2023 new year. The party was over 9pm pacific time! Booya! I am a senior too and I was all in for a party ending at 9pm!!!
So much ❤ for Jamie Lee Curtis, amazing actress, woman and mother. Fan for life, Halloween was released on my, and many others, day of birth. ❤ to you Jamie Lee Curtis
I like the premise of her book. I tended to explain "when" in terms of, "first this event, then the next event"...if you have weekly activities like church, you can say, "we go to church two more times first." Elementary schools do this: they decorate for holidays in succession, and kids always know where they are in the year....
Jamie- I too am a hands on, learning parent. 2 of my kids are gay and as soon as I found out, became the student. Thanks for advocating for trans people also!
I am 55 yrs. old and I TOTALLY SUPPORT Jamie's 'MATINEE MUSIC MOVEMENT' ( CAN YOU MAKE ENTRANCE AGE LIMITED?) (ie: MUST BE 50 YEARS OLDER OR OLDER TO ENTER!) 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 YOU HAVE MY VOTE!! 1 👏🏻
