The Jamo c91ii's have completely taken me by surprise. If you're on the fence about these, good, because you should skip these and go for the c93ii. The c91ii is so good! So for $100 USD more, you have yourself a solid speaker!

As I wrote in your video from yesterday, I just got the big brother Jamo C93ii for $299 / pair + a Jamo C910 powered sub for $179; all in white. The extra $100 to go from the C91 to C93 seems like a no-brainer. I have to admit - the appearance of this set up was a big factor for me. Fits in great with my room design - minimalistic, light & airy. Still playing around with the sub placement and crossover frequency - I'll probably end up close to 80 Hz. Not looking to shake the walls - just fill in the bottom end a bit. Again, using a Bluesound PowerNode streamer / amp with 80 w per channel as my only source. Jamo recommends 50-100 watts for the C93ii, and I fill the room without going anywhere near max volume. I like that the PowerNode will crossover both the mains and the sub so the C93's get only the highs + mids, and of course the sub gets only the lows. Curious to see how you will like the C93ii and if you'll also try them with a sub. A final thought - the clarity of these speakers has got me listening to a broader range of music than before. And re-listening to some old favorites can reveal new detail. I know you can't put copyrighted music on RU-vid, but I'm happy to post my evaluation song list for your own use when checking these out. These speakers will reward you if the recording was mixed well, and let you know if it wasn't.

I have the C910 sub - my only disappointment is the low power - only 75 watts rms. We're this sub paired with a 300 watt rms amp, it would be the budget killer sub king.

Awesome. I thought your explanation for the pros/cons for this speaker was RIGHT ON! Fyi - If you happen to upgrade to the C93's, I think you'll be extremely impressed....they get very very HIGH praise in the reviews dept. (Even Sean at Zero Fidelity was extremely impressed by them!)

I have these in the same color on my desktop, only running from a 30wrms Topping Mx3 but love the sound and look of them, and ive tried many desk speakers... but I agree 100% if you are listening further back or have a larger room and do a lot of non-nearfield listening, go C93 or above. I really think the C93 for predominantly nearfield use will be too much of a good thing... also they will be very large for a desk. If you like the sound of these, you need to get hold of the C97s and feed them plenty of clean power, they are awesome for the money, you just get more of everything! much more. Also a note on the tweeter, give it a few days to really judge as out of the box I found the 97s a little fatiguing but this mellowed quite dramatically after a few days running, same probably applies to 93s etc as they use the same tweeter.

Good video on the speakers. These would sound good in my home theater as surround sound speakers and blend well with my s809 towers

I've listened to these and have the exact same summation as you. Haven't tried the C93's yet. I instead tried a $78.00 pair of OSD Nero 5 Studio monitors. Was blown away at the build quality alone. Have you considered trying these b??
