Ah that's very kind of you, you've made my day with that comment, glad the videos are of some use to people 🙏🏼☺️👍🏼 good luck with the hunt, hopefully you will find a pair soon, then let me know your opinion on the sound quality...
Hey, thx for the review. I have a question: that "auto mode" means basically "stand by" mode? So it is turned off until it gets a signal? If so, is there any "transformer buzzing" or any other unwanted noise produced by the unit once it is in auto (stand by) mode? Or is it completely quiet until it gets its signal? Thanks a lot.
Yes the auto is the standby mode, so should automatically turn the led light green when a signal is received. It should be dead quiet when on standby. If you are getting some noise coming through it might be mains power leakage or something on the board that might be on its way out....
@@kaygeebee9155 I've got old Sony SS-MF450H 5.0 set with Sony STR-DE495. Well, it sounds pretty good with proper equalizer, but I feel like I'm pushing L+R to do something it is not quite designed for. So getting dedicated sub for lows sounds like a good idea I guess. :)
@@Kanal103 those floorstanders are pretty decent, but only rated down to 50Hz. The Jamo sub200 is rated from 36Hz, so it will definitely fill in that lower end range that you're missing. I think for the price point, it's a good a addition to your system👍🏼☺️🙏🏼 good luck, feel free to let me know what you think of it after you've set it up
Thank you for this greate review. I have a question : In my Computer Sound card (Xonar D2) i have a Subwoofer dedicated output, but it support only jack (3.5mm) connector. Can i use this subwoofer with it, if i buy a kind of cable that have RCA L/R in one side and 3.5mm jack in the other side ? Thank you
Hi, yes I don't see why not. As long as the subwoofer output from your sound card is just a pre out (which is most likely to be, I don't believe it's an amplified output) 👍🏼 a simple 3.5mm Jack to RCA cable will do the trick
Yes you can. I have a regular sound card with 3.5 mm, in which the subwoofer and a pair of speakers are connected. Everything works fine, just adjust the levels.
Hi, thanks for your question. When you have a single subwoofer pre out on your amp, you can either use a "single RCA to single RCA cable" to connect it to the left input on the subwoofer, or you can get a "single RCA to twin-RCA cable" to connect it to both left and right Inputs on the subwoofer - hope that helps 👍🏼😊🙏🏼
The rumble may be due to an earth leakage from the power cable. You might want to also consider that the subwoofer is faulty perhaps?... If the subwoofer is working fine, there should be no reason why it wouldn't work with your Denon amp
Remove the screws holding the subwoofer driver and the screws at the periphery of the plate amplifier, then you can remove to access the inside of the box
I've actually had that particular sub before. It's not great compared to the Sub200. It sounds under powered and has an awful chuffing sound at the port when the volume is turned up. Build quality is ok and it's a nice squarish unit, but the sound isn't as punchy. Hope that helps👍🏼😊🙏🏼
@@kaygeebee9155 Yes, Thank you. I agree with you in regards to what you said about it. I have one & thinking of getting a used SUB200 do you think I could use both subs together running off my AVR or it will sound terrible. Maybe 2 Sub 200s if I could get my hands on them. What are your thoughts ? If not I’m thinking about something bigger maybe a 12 inch with at least 300 wrms. I love bass & I think this sub I have at the moment sounds okay with movies in my small room it’s not so great when playing music.
@@TG-kp1ph I personally think you'd be better off with 2x Sub200 units. They're pretty cowboy despite their compact form and if placed ideally in your room, I think they will give very good rounded low end cover 👍🏼😊🙏🏼
If the sound from the speaker is muffled and there's not a lot of movement on the speaker, then it may mean that the voice coil on the speaker has blown/burnt out and you need to get a replacement bass driver👍🏼
@@kaygeebee9155I think sound is very heavy and powerful, I use in minimum volume in my room, but the diffusor doesnt move, even if I add volume to a half, I can just feel some vibration if I touch it but no more.
@@Meisterio that's an interesting one, don't think I can offer much more advice. Maybe worth opening it up to see if there's any issues within the unit?....
Very much depends on the room size and acoustics within it. My home theatre is approximately 4x3m and this fills it adequately at my listening volumes with good low end grunt for an 8 inch 200 watt sub. Hope that helps👍🏼☺️🙏🏼
Thanks for the comment. I don't have the unit anymore unfortunately so am unable to measure the port diameter 🙏🏼😔 but I would estimate it to be about 2 inches....👍🏼
@@kaygeebee9155 hi, its not class A , lol. Sorry just made me laugh. Amps will have ratings Of class A ,B ect, mean head amp, class A is tops, top end stuff tectonics ect,
