India is India with its boundaries secured and systems to gain intelligence of enemies because of intellectuals like Kao, Naryanan and Ajit Doval. Salutes to brave sons of India!!! 🇮🇳.
I guess it's a good thing that the real spies and heroes preserving Indian securtiy remain unsung... Because then it becomes a testament to their undercover prowess, their determination to keep their objectives and methods little-known for as long as possible. If their identities and work were known by all in detail, even years after their retirement/death, it would certainly be a lesson to learn, to anticipate any future designs and nip them in the bud. But these bravehearts also deserve our gratitude and respect, so I think having a national memorial for all the anonymous intelligence officers would be a better option for acknowledging their service to the nation, without jeopardizing their post-retirement lives and our future operations.
Some wag once opined that the only difference between the operation of a major intelligence service HQ and the dominant newspaper of a great city is that only one of them can manage to get out more than one copy by the hard deadline.
It is the finest ever tribute paid to the true patriots of India, who risked their life with supreme sense of duty and sacrifice to protect the sovereignty of our motherland. In spite of all their dedication, they don't get the kind of attention, recognition and honor they richly deserve may perhaps be because (1) the very nature of their job is discreet and remains hidden, and demands secrecy. 2. Right from the time of Chanakya ( because spies were mentioned in 'Arthashastra' though the spying network might have existed much before him as an important apparatus to serve the King and the state), their job put them behind the veil of dark curtain,so people never knew about their presence or role unlike the military soldiers, who were more openly visible and the spies had no balladeers to sin g the tales of their sacrifice and heroic acts as in the case of military. The popular imagination is fed with stories of great warriors, but when it comes to spies, the historical time canvas is almost blank. 3. Perhaps because they are perceived more as bureaucrats and part of Govt aparatus, so honors and decorations are hard to come by.
@@sonu72049 Hey, Sonu. Not that I'm aware of. I mainly joined to support the channel. I think they just give preference to your questions. And the CTC videos are available maybe an hour or so sooner.
@@AkshatSharma1505 Did you watch the episode? Most intelligence officers that Shekhar Gupta is talking about including Ajit Doval are Malayalis. Keralites have a very large representation in navy, air force and intelligence, morr than any other state in India. In the early days IAF was called "India Nair Force" because every other pilot was a Nair/Malayali.
SG, Ajit Doval was actually under cover in Pakistan disguised as a Muslim for several years. He has himself narrated his story of being under cover and meeting a Hindu person there. Just search for it on RU-vid and will find his video explaining his experience there.
His full of shit nobody other than india rates him he was a policeman lol he couldn't do anything to prevent ladakh intrusion which was instigated by ISI Chinese on record stated this SSG commandos helped Chinese troops and till this day chinese are making infrastructure in Indian territory he couldn't do anything when ISI ensured taliban take over Ghani government of afghnaistan he once said if paksitan does another Mumbai type attack he will ensure 1971 situation pak did pathankot and pulwama he couldn't do anything just like modi his a paper tiger

This episode deserves applause. These unsung heroes should be known to the people of India. It takes years of work and that too with life at risk. The strategy of having an NSA post as a different one altogether and making an operationally effective IPS/Military personnel rather than some bureaucrat to head it, is wonderful and utmost needed. This clear difference between now NDA and earlier UPA should be highlighted too.
Dear SG, today you have exposed us to a new dimension of services that we had never truly appreciated for what they are. Thank you for the amongst the most brilliant and unique CTC.
@@AbdulSamad-jw6xq The fact that you are commenting at the comfort of your home is sufficient fact that Nehru didnt die in humiliation and was successful in bringing his visions of independent India into reality.
@@BruceWayne-qe7bs Nehru according space to Tibetan government in exile was a diplomatic necessity. It brought the plight of the Tibetan to the global light. If anything it helped India to understand what was going around in Tibetan border. China didn't attack India because of Dalai Lama, China was already building the infrastructure in Southern Tibet and Aksai Chin from 1951-52. What made China Indian conflict inevitable was Zhou Enlai's visit and the way we reacted in 1960. Instead of putting everything squarely as a failure (sweeping generalizations), we should look closely at the events individually and identify the immediate cause. In the case of 1962 humiliation, look around this visit, and the forward policy we adopted without adequate military buildup and deeper intelligence.
Nehru might have been a fool. But he's not here to blame, nor is he here to justify his circumstances. But there is an even greater fool and a coward in power today, right in front of our eyes. While china intrudes in Ladakh and builds camps in the NE, this cockroach and his govt is busy breeding internal hatred. He is not man enough to even have a press conf and interact with public, let alone answer for the diplomatic disaster he is overseeing.
THANK YOU SHEKHARJI...!!! Lots of unsung HEROES in our world... THEY ARE FAR BETTER HUMANS AND THEY SACRIFICED MORE FOR THE FAMILY , SOCIETY , NATION AND THE WHOLE WORLD , THAN THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ELEVATED TO THE SAINTHOOD AND HAVE BEEN REVERED...!!!
Never knew that George Orwell was also IIP officer..this ep is going to be one of my favourite It's good to know about such personality who actually did something for the nation they deserve to be acknowledged
Mr Arvind Dave mentioned at 24 minutes is living a retired life and is at udaipur. My salute to him for his work and contribution on the intelligence front
Thank you so much Shekhar Sir for sharing these stories of our great heroes and their great deeds. It’s unfortunate that we are so swamped with news around the politics and politicians but we hardly share/ hear any insights around our real heroes. Hope you would do some more episodes on them. Thanks
Brilliant! Shekhar, one really wishes you’d create a weekly show on pivotal events from the past. You have such a bhandaaaar of anecdotes and such a wonderful way of connecting dots. Please do consider. Superb episode, thank you ! 🙏🏽
SG, I usually don't appreciate your political biases however, with this episode, you have sort of redeemed yourself. Please put these stories for the next generation and pass on your excellent experience. Think of ways so that the next-gen doesn't ignore what you and your generation know.
It is very astonishing to see that Mr. Gupta forgot to mention about "Tiger" Ravindra Kaushik who was R&AW operative who by deception even rose to rank of commissioned officer ranks of the Pakistan armed forces but unfortunately his cover had been blown up & died in Pakistani prison. Then there is this person known as Sehmat Khan without whose input we wouldn't have had information about PNS Gazi was going to attack INS Vikrant just before 72 war!!!
Sehmat was shown in the film Raazi. Also watch the film Ghazi Attack which is one of the best submarine movies of all time. I thank RAW operatives who remain unseen and unheard.
an improportionally high number of malayalees seem involved in the indian intelligence business.. This is definetely one of the gem episode of shekhar sir!!
thank you Mr Shekhar guptha for a very informative coverage of our intelligence agencies.Hope some day their services to our nation will be duly recognized and acknowledged.
Best spy is the one who goes unsung …. Just like wicket keeper in cricket… if nobody bothered about wicket keeper in cricket match means, he (or she) has done wonderful job
What an amazing episode!! Like watching a documentary on Indian spy heroes!! This episode made me watch few good spy movies all over again!!(Starting with Spy Game and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy)!!! Also if time persists will brush up on John Le Carre this weekend!!
Yes Sir, It's really a pity that those who put their lives on line for the country are not given due credit... Despite that we have people still taking these risks...real patriots I should say...
Shekharji you are among the few member of rare breed remain who still remained us old school journalism.Kudos for highlighting unsung hero of our country
Thank You "ThePrint" and very much thanks to" Sir Shekhar Gupta". As my vocabulary is little weak I had a tough time understanding the meaning of words. Through, it gave me the felling of doing something for our country as we a knowledge citizen of India should utilise that knowledge for the betterment of India and our Globe as a whole. (That's the felling I got & definitely I will utilise my knowledge for the betterment of India and the entire Globe as a whole.) Thank You
I m always in awe of how you prepare and present... Just splendid, flawless and continuous rendition. Can't missout even for a second bcoz there's always so much of information flowing which is rarely, rather not at all available on any other channel.
What a wealth of greatness we have in these officers....my God thank you Mr Gupta i wonder which other journalist would even bother telling us about them....my salutations to these great people and to you too for sharing it with us .... so so enriching 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This episode of cut the clutter is one of the best videos i have seen on the entire RU-vid in the recent times. We would like to hear more about these incidents in detail in future episodes if possible. Thank you Sekhar ji.
Respected Sir, please please please do a special episode on "R N Kao India's first Spy" only. Was hoping to know more about Kao when started watching this video today but it wasn't about R N Kao.
One of the best CTC. Though it propped up more clutter than before and we want CTC on every incident and brave persons mentioned today especially Mukhtar Sheikh.
We as a nation must strive to honour these unsung heroes who makes our country strong. Hope this government after building the war memorial, will think about these heros 🙏
The best tribute to our heroes whose intelligence network kept India safe is to tell their story. The print is doing a fine work. Please do many such episodes . Shekar ji your work is commendable. Thank you
Shekhar, where are you recording from? It's blissfully green and my cat is looking for birds. Such a beautiful sound I live in the middle of an urban desert , Las Vegas so you can Imagine how lovely your surroundings seem to me. Be well
Please check the photo of Shri Beant Singh, former Chief Minister of Punjab, shown in the presentation. It appears to me that the photo shown is of Shri Tej Prakash Singh, son of Shri Beant Singh.
Sir can you make a Cut the clutter on how Doval influenced as a director of Vivekananda International Foundation, and it's role in Anna moment and how it helped Modi come to power.
