I’m American and a fervent Hillary supporter, and I must say...even though her accent is...not the greatest (come on, it’s her first time doing it, of course it’ll be shaky), I’m pretty sure the more she does it, the more she’ll improve over time. And midwestern accents can be hard to do for someone who isn’t familiar with that accent or is from another country (normally, Jan is spot on with her accents, but it doesn’t seem to be the case here). Now, to see her Teresa May placed up against Kate Mckinnon on Saturday night live over here...now THAT would be awesome.
In all fairness, it can be hard for a British person to successfully nail a midwestern accent like Hillary has (even though Jan Ravens was (and still is) a great impressionist and normally has the accents down right, she still kind of struggles with some of them). I think this is her first time doing her impression, so maybe she’ll get better over time with the accent, I dunno.
Speaking of which, now that you speak about it, how’s about we get her Theresa May up against Mckinnon’s Hillary in an SNL sketch? Now THAT would be awesome.
She did a better accent than when the tables are reversed and Yankee's try to do English accents, you all sound like Oliver Twist on crack, or like an Australian person.
Cam C Well that's how us Britons hear it and believe me, we live in/under America's shadow as 24/7 we're bombarded with American media, on TV, in adverts and in ur music charts and in the cinemas.
Jazzy J Really? I know you guys "live under America's shadow" but I find it strange that you hear it that. I have literally never heard anyone pronounce it that way. lol We pronounce it Aangry, with a strong A sound.
