That was unexpectedly cold and blunt coming from Marcia. I know sisters can be catty when one in particular is shown male attention and the rejected one gets upset about it. But Marcia, who wasn't in the least bit interested in that lovesick Clark kid, could have been more sensitive to Jan's hurt feelings..
Marcia was so mean! Jan is cute and adorable! I especially love her hair! What Marcia said to her own sister was so cold and brutal. My heart broke for Jan here. 💔
Jan deserved it because she made out like Marcia was trying to get his attention. I know that this isn't real but it showcases how too many girls/women are willing to lash out at each other because their crush fancies another girl/woman. Jan started the whole thing, remember. There are too many people online that see themselves in Jan not Marcia and are quick to not see reason.
Plus Jan was using the boy in order to compete with Marcia and not genuinely going out with him. It's all fiction but as you said, this happens in real life.
Eve Plumb was so cute playing a jealous child... I think she was hurt by the parody films of the 90s, in which the character Jen was lampooned as a psychotic Goofy. 😂
Don't get me wrong, I loved Jan, that beautiful long hair, and freckled dimples, wow! But she DID have her flaws, Eve too. Near as I can tell Eve Plumb seemed to have been utterly without a sense of humor. Whereas Maureen milked Marcia for free coke and good times, Jan/Eve went the integrity route. Seemed she hated "Jan" and went nuts every time fans tried to get her to go "Marcia Maria Marcia". Even dyed her hair black one time, making her TOTALLY resemble "the new Jan"! A very difficult woman who repeatedly shot herself in the foot, refusing to take the easy way.
The only crush that ever turned into something serious much later on involved a couple of junior high classmates of mine. They got married around age 21 and might still be together.
I'd love to marry my JR High crush. We both definitely had "puppy love." Everyone could see it, he would look at me or watch me all the time. People would tell me when I didn't notice. But when I would look at him, he would be looking at me and then smile. It lasted this way u til freshman year. I lost interest by then. First male (guy) to make my heat flutter, stomach like butterflies. First time I saw him him was 7th grade. I went to the office to get a pass for being off sick for several days. NeVER noticed him when I walk ed in. After getting the pass, I turned and we locked eyes. INSTANT chemistry. He had just moved to town. Now in my mid 40s, sometime I wonder if we will meet again. So much electricity.❤😊
That happened more times than you know on the Brady Bunch, one time they drove off in a convertible and came home in the station wagon when Bobby was trying to win a trophy
@@NanOfTwo Yes, the scene with the parents was the next day after she comes home from school and she's complaining about Clark not looking at her all day. The scene with Marcia was also the next day. Watch again. Jan talks about being at school with Clark and she's wearing the white shirt with her parents. Then she goes upstairs wearing something completely different.
She had the same shirt on when she was studying then came home from school with the same shirt on then when she approached Marcia the whole outfit changed🧐🧐

I would choose Jan over Marcia any day! And the part when Marcia says "Why would I be interested in him? He's only a child I'm a woman." Lol 😂 Yeah you keep thinking that Marcia you're not even 18 yet here!
Jan is simply out of her mind thinking that she could get a Clark. Clark is so far out of her league. And Marcia's right just because jan looks like a gremlin can't go blaming it on hot marcia.
Anyone else agree that both Jan and Marcia were in the wrong here? I was going to side with Marcia, but she did have such an egotistical way of addressing it.
No, it's not. I can't remember his name right off hand but, he played the oldest, teenage son of the father who was the male lead in the movie JAWS 2, released in 1978. I think his teenage character's name in that film was 'Michael'.
They're pretty darn similar as sisters, just separate in age. Someday Jan can fill in her eyebrows and wear mascara too. Marsha should have phrased her response in the singular "it's not my fault if a boy isn't attracted to you" instead of making a blanket statement with the plural "boys aren't attracted to you".
