I found it too endearing...the way you positioned the Jane Austin Ink Bottle..on this side of the camera it appears Jane is looking at your box as if saying "yes yes this is mine". Heehee☺😉
Lovely! If you find an ink bottle that fits in the desk, you could always decant some of your ink into that bottle. Goulet Pens often offers empty ink bottles. You can also find little paint jars at hobby and art supply stores.
I just bought an early 19th century writing box from a local auction and my intentions was to use it but it’s not useable for what I wanted it for. It’s in good considering but it’s in need of some repairs and for it’s age I’d hate to cause any damage. Trust me if you end up getting an old writing box you won’t want to use it!! They are more of a collectors piece!
Kimmy Vera I do, I keep both on my desk, though they take up quite a bit of space! They just look wonderful sitting there, I’m always inspired by them.
