Fanvid of my favorite version of Jane Eyre from the 1983 BBC Miniseries starring Timothy Dalton and Zelah Clarke. I thought this song really reflected Mr. Rochester's emotions in his relationship with Jane Eyre. Also, specially dedicated to Cheekygirl8 - my first YT Friend - because if it wasn't for her, I would not have become re-obsessed with Jane Eyre and Timothy's Mr. Rochester...! :)

Dalton should have won sexiest man alive award along with best actor. They really don't play his movies in america. Never saw this movie. I guess our actors couldn't with him.

I agreed. Why didn't he ever get the best prices? Such a talented actor who ist also very good looking. I know this movie since 1984- since the translation started. IT is my Favorit movie and Timothy and Zehla are my Favorit Actors. Have seen 4 different versions - none as good as this one. It's a pity that many in Europe haven't seen the film at all. It's a shame, It's a classic and such a beautiful love story ❤

@KDRainstorm To me Tim was THEE best Rochester and I have watched a few of the other versions and I am always comparing them to this and nothing measures up!!! This is where I discovered him and was so amazed on what a fine actor he was and how he handled his lines and his timing...flawless

I'm so glad you liked the video and the effects I used! I was trying to give the video a bit of a "modern" feel (since the movie looks rather dated), but yet keep it in line with its time period. So I thought that maybe a "painting-coming-to-life" effect might work. From your comment, I think it did! :) Thank you!

@Woodlander65 I completely agree! This is my favorite adaptation of Jane Eyre and Timothy Dalton is Rochester for me - even though I think he probably is a bit too handsome for the role. Didn't mind that at all...LOL :)

Thank you - so glad you liked it! About Adobe Premiere Elements - I really like it so far. It has up to 99 tracks and lots of nice effects that seem as good as more expensive programs. I'm still learning it, though! I got it as a gift (I think it's usually about $65 - $80) so I'm not sure how good the free download ones are (are they from safe websites?). I recommend downloading it from a free trial from Adobe to check it out and see if you like it. Thanks again for your comment!

Lovely video and good song to go with clips. This is my absolute favorite version. I have to get this program and try it. I've made slideshows with windows moviemaker, but have difficulty getting the video clips. Did you get them off the DVD, because I can't get them off my copy, which I bought 6 yrs. ago. How did you get the video clips ? Would appreciate any help. Going to look at your other videos too, :)

Great job - makes me want to see this adaptation again. :) I love how you made the halo around their hands at beginning. A lot of silent impact there - also the flash forwards of fire were done well- 5***** Thank you again for entering my contest- results will be up some time in first two weeks of May...please leave your video as a video response (don't post elsewhere) until then. Hi, Chica - Glad you liked it! And you're exactly right - when I started the vid - it looked dated so I played around with different effects to try and make it look more modern. So by your response, it looks like it worked - Yay! But now that I'm done with this...I think I'm suffering from withdrawal! Guess I'll just have to do another JE/Timothy vid again soon...;)

Num num, Timothy Dalton. An extremely good video, I absolutely adored it. Must ask, though, how good is this programme to use? Cos I've noticed that there happens to be free downloads and wondering whether it's worth getting. Hope you do well in the competition
