Her first or one of her firsts movie roles was in a made for tv movie caled Frankenstein: The True Story. In it she plays a creature brought to life by Frankenstein"s antagonist Dr. Polidori. She has her head ripped off by Franenstein"s creature played by Michael Sarazzin.

She had mentioned in a clip that when she saw him she thought, not only had she just gotten out of a really bad divorce but he was also much younger, "not too mention he's like half my age" then joked she tried not to look at him or even consider developing a fancy. But when she noticed he would stay behind on set eying her she realized he liked her and I guess she gave it a shot. two quotes I came across also on the topic from the two: Joe said : "I'd always liked Jane Seymour as an actress, but when we met to begin filming in 1992, I fell madly in love with her. Sadly, Jane didn't feel the same way about me, and another thing was that just about that time James Keach (her present husband) appeared in her life and stole her away from me. It didn't go beyond platonic love. We're all very good friends now." While Jane said..: "Well, we were together long enough to know what we're missing, and long enough to know why we're married to who we're married to." Still they are SUCH a sweet pair together. As Lovers and as Friends. I love seeing them together. Glad they pulled through and their friendship is so strong.

I can't really understand Jane; even if he is 10 years younger than her (which by the way it's not such a big age difference), to have such a beautiful and amazing man like Joe falling "madly in love" with her and she not grasping the chance! Her husband was older and not nearly so handsome! And it's not just the looks, but Joe seemed in the movie such a tender, intelligent, gentle man! Such men are very rare, so if I had been her (which unfortunately I was not), I would not have thought a second about the age difference! ;-) Especially with all the chemistry that there was between them during all 6 seasons!
I agree with all you say, @Jenny, but you can't build a marriage on just chemistry. I think they both realized that early enough. Jane is a very talented actress, Joe (IMHO) a little less, but he's an extremely nice person, as far as I can judge from the few interviews I have seen with him.
@@anna-maria535 I thought about it a lot, you can definitely see their love on the screen, I think Jane wanted to spare him ,at that time she was with huge 9 million dollar minus and children and he was just a young man struggling to make a living and scared of marriage and commitment -he said that at tha wedding episode. And thank God he really build himself a good family with his young and beautiful wife later on, and James kich saved her financially and emotionally...but still my heart goes out when I see Jo and Jane together....
