I believe someone mentioned that Janet Jackson is shy or ask a question about her being shy? That's a new one for me because I never thought of her as being shy. I've always thought of her as being an introvert with extrovert tendencies but mostly an introvert. Maybe I see her that way because I'm an introvert myself. A basic definition of introvert is; someone who refuels by being alone having quiet time and just thinking, about the day, about life. It's also taking in what's going on around them. I love my time to refuel, my being alone time to refresh and regain my energy. Another way it's of saying it is introverts are deep thinkers and when something speak to us we are usually pretty passionate about it.... (being shy and being a introvert are two totally different things). Anyway just thinking out loud. Lol...

Janet isn't obligated to do anything for anyone lol. Quit getting in your feelings because she answered all the same questions she's been asked about in interviews. When the time is right Janet will answer those burning questions. It's not the first or the last time she'll be asked those "geeky fan questions". It ain't that deep and she doesn't owe the fans anything.

I thought she was going to do a face to face interview with Steve. That would've been 100% interesting! The questions were nicely chosen, meaning, safe, lol. I'm glad she has had some open interviews this year, but this robot woman (I thought until janet asked her to repeat something), feels myspace days, lol! Steve is a good guy and he truly does respect the Jacksons. I remember his over the phone interview with MJ. I truly thought, though, it would be him and her.

This ask janet anything interview had me excited for the longest.I was excited at the possibility she ay pic 1 of my thousand questions i sent in.I also thought even if she doesnt pick my exact question im pretty sure #janfam has pretty much same ones worded differently.I planned in great detail to watch this interview alone no interruptions,having my fav snack,and sipping my fav drink.Stayed off social media didnt want any preconceived notions,I was all in😍👑🔥💜😘🍓.The disappointment cut like a knife,but to see her pretty face and and soft spoken voice served as a bandaide tho.I dont know the details of this interview and questioning so i wont be hard to just let this one go.I love this beautiful ,black,amazing woman and this doesnt change anything.I stan Queen Janet Damita Jo Jackson always and forever.💜

Around that time she often seemed slightly under the influence of something that was slowing her down and you can see it twice in this interview 8:50 when she slightly slurs the name “Steve” and when she moves her hair past her neck at 7:19. I’m really surprised because she already had a brother who had a drug problem and she saw it and tried to intervene and then he may have died because of it. And also because she had a little child by this point. It’s so sad. I really loved her in the late 80s and early 90s.

I know journalists who have covered Janet, and you will never get spontaneous questions through to her. She sticks to approved topics and the same scripted answers. I don't know that she realizes her fans follow all of her interviews so we get stuck with the same answers and stories over and over.

This is true as of lately, but during her interviews in the 90s and also the Jermaine Dupri years, she was much more open, silly, and funny in her interviews. Check some of them out on here. I think you’d be pleasantly surprised by some of the questions and her answers to them. 🙂😀

Actually I disagree. If you search here on YT, you will find MANY interviews on here where the interviewer asked her questions we haven’t heard before. And she answers everything honestly, like she usually does. I guess, if you watched over 50 like I have and didn’t stop at like 1 or 2, you’d know that.

Wow, with all the promotion, guest appearances, great video, Jimmy Fallon performance and hype over "Made for Now", It only made it to 88 on the Billboard Hot 100, 36 R&B, and 14 Dance Charts. Hip- Hop occupys 46 of the top 50 songs in the country. Oh well.

"Made For Now" made it number 1 on the dance charts, her last album (Unbreakable) went to number 1 on the Pop and R&B charts, she has since been inducted into the Rock.&Roll Hall of Fame and the guy thats behind her being blacklisted has been charged with sexual assault by dozens.of women, fired from his multi million dollars position at CBS and blacklisted himself. She's good.

@@anthonycoleman9593 While those stats are true, her albums and singles during the blacklisting had singles that made it number 1 on the dance charts(Make Me, Feedback) and albums that topped the pop and r&b charts as well(Discipline) In terms of radio blacklisting and promotional taint on her career, she hasn't experienced the same level of Taylor Swift/Ariana Grande level success she once had not because of ageism but of the damage that blacklisting has done to her

bAiLeETV - Because her manager and publicist pre-screen and pre-approve all questions. My cousin is an entertainment reporter who covered Janet before. When she arrives, her people immediately let every reporter know which topics are off-limits and what questions they should ask her. Then, all reporters have to pre-submit their questions to her team before they interview her, and her team lets the reporters know if their question is allowed. So, basically, when you see her do interviews, the reporter is asking the questions Janet's people told them they could ask. That's why they keep asking her the same questions. In this case, the chat was called "Ask Anything", yet you can see they filtered out the topics Janet's team wants her to answer. You know there were better questions out there.

Yeah I think this is why she didn’t do the interview with The Breakfast Club because they probably wouldn’t adhere to her rules about which questions to ask and not ask. They can be quite brutal at times, but they ask the questions that people really want to know the answers to.

More than half of these questions were asked on previous interviews. I love Janet but this was a bore & extremely disappointing. If your PA is reading this. Shame on you. Ofcourse we didn't expect her to answer questions about that BET movie, but a question about Aretha? How many people in your family? Artists you want to work with? Doing more movies are questions us die hard fans already know. The DVD box set release question would have been a great question.

Really Ms.jackson you didnt answer any interesting geeky fan questions that the die hard fans wanted to know..several people asked about tour dvds, boxset, all music videos on youtube, all your bsides on streaming platforms, janet, RN, rwu, up close and personal tour dvds, Netflix questions. None of those were answered but instead you tell the same story about how you grew up around Aretha and who are your inspirations, your love for Brazilian Jazz, sighs* thanks a lot the diehards really wanted a different type of interview from you but got this instead. 😒

I get that your publicist block out certain questions from the media etc but when your fans ask great questions and this is called "Ask Anything" why block out the geeky fan questions, this make ZERO sense to your fans..we have waited weeks for this interview to get this.. Not a good look at all.
