this was easily the loudest ..and longest applause of the whole night..not to forget that it was the best performance of the night and that entire year
@@LeeDfined she definitely tripped and fell on her knees but she is so amazing you could barely tell. I didn't notice it until like the 100,000th time of watching it
Yeah she didn’t trip, just didn’t spin like someone said. If you know the choreography, falling to the knees is part of the dance. Now Beyoncé at the super bowl with Bruno mars. That was a trip!
Didn't realize that they were all dancing. In the televised version, the camera was zoomed in on Janet. Thanks for posting this. Yeah Janet did recover very well. Gotta luv it! I like that all of the choreographers that have worked with Michael participated.
Aside from the youngsters in attendance that evening, there likely wasn't a dry eye elsewhere. I was there, balling my eyes out, pumping my fist in the air from the aisle on the right side of the theatre. The closest thing I ever got to seeing a true musical legend of the 20th Century.
you know...I love how you shot the whole audience at the end & it made it look like a real concert, not an award show where celebrities are there, all people just enjoying Janet and the dancers kill the performance...Love it!! thanks for posting!
I don’t care what anyone says. For me this is the number one VMA performance ever. To have all those dancers come together and then have Janet at the end doing Scream for the very first time just two and a half months after Mike passed away, ICONIC!
its crazy that we have here some of the most well known professionals in the industry and this dance break was still challenging for a lot of them, some too early on the moves, some late and some didn't complete the drop downs. This is one of my most favorite dance routines ever and its because its that complicated!!! I loveeee thissss! Only michael and janet!!!
The BEST choreographers in the business and they still weren’t in sync. Tina Landon was the only one who hit everything on point - because it was her choreography lol
This is good for michael legends i love this permanent thanks Janet for bringing michael back avile rest in place michael we will always love you you will live with us forever in owners hrats
In 2018 Janet also did this song during her tour. In 2018, she said "Lets go Mike" before singing her part & she did not do the dance part . Of course she's 9 older by then, 50+
I love how she had all the choreographers as her backup dancers but you can tell some of them didn’t have the knees to do that drop during the dance break. They just squatted.
damn i wish i could have seen that live. I would love too see Janet perform i wish i could have went to New York or she could have ame to texas. NO telling if shes every going to perform live like that again. i missed my 2 chances i could have seen her at her Rock wit u tour or there live in new york. both chances missed
How is it that every Dancer/Choreographer in this piece did not hit the Knee jump up part! Janet killed it! Loreane as well, Chris, J-Lo's sorry Ex didn't even try it, a shame!!! janet is a beast! luv her
i watch this like 50 times a day ``i just love it man `lol janet is just like her bro ``that's the crazy part about it``its just they do things in there own way```
Recoveryy, What recovery? Janet didn't mess up at ALL when it's your Choreography you can do whatever the hell you want! P.S. Janet, Gil & Tina were most in sync @ 1:10 for the "Slide/Knee Drop" . Wade kills the signature MJ @ 1:28
@sagehiphop Uhhmmm yes he did! you need to take another look again @1:14 they were ALL in SYNC doing the SAME thing EVERYONE dropped to their knees except him! It's the part after that they all start doing something different. THANK YOU!
@DeeTeez76 hate to be the burden of bad news but if you look at the guy at the very end, closer to the top of the video, he didn't drop to his knees either. Who's knows, maybe they couldn't do it, lol (j/k). But on the real, at least they both bended down for the appearance.
@sillyie LOL right! thank you, which still makes me right that Chris Judd messed up and didn't drop to the floor @ 1:14, but now that you pointed out the guy at the top, now he has that other dancer to share the "mess up" with! LOL
