On March 28, Jang Da Ah’s interview was released. During the interview, when asked about being known as Wonyoung’s sister, Jang Da Ah answered, "It had been revealed that I was Wonyoung's sister when I was becoming known. I’ve accepted that this could happen, even if it wasn’t my choice. I feel like that title would disappear once I made a name for myself as an actor. Of course, this isn’t something that I wanted from the beginning." This statement quickly went viral online, and Jang Da Ah got heavily criticised for her ungrateful attitude. While Da Ah's fans agree with her comment, saying she is her own person and has a talent, so she should be recognised for that. However, others think fame has already gotten to her head and made comments like, Jang da ah easily could've kept it secret, but the privileges that come with being associated with Wonyoung are just too great. They also added that she is a bad and ungrateful sister because she is in the industry only because of Wonyoung. Do you guys think the same?

nah guyzz she's right i can totally relate to her my aunt is the principal of the school i graduated so whenever i achieve A+ in pprs my classmates would always sah to me that she would ve told you the questiins that will come in exams and i was like wtf she dont even have anything to do with others teachers subjects and when i was choonpsen for school monitor no one clapped for me thinking that my aunt would have told the incharge to choose me and they literally clapped for the other girl that was choosen too so it became my dream to be known for who truely i am and almost everyone in cllg knew me for my acting and i was class representative so this proves that i wasnt getting any help at all

I feel she could’ve said it in a better way but I understand her 100% this happens to a lot of siblings in the industry or family in the industry even family that’s not in the industry and I bet it’s annoying people calling you this persons sibling instead of saying your name so i understand her but I feel like she could’ve said it in a way that didn’t sound so harsh cause most people who get asked that question they’ve all said like I’m proud of my sibling and etc but I’m my own person and I wanna be known as me cause yes it’s cool I have a popular sibling but now it’s my turn to show case myself but I know she most likely loves her sister and she just said exactly how she felt …support for the both of them and hopefully this situation doesn’t case a Strain cause that also happens

I am an enormous wonyoung stan and its ridiculous seeing all this criticism towards her sister (Who she is very close to). I completely understand her sister and she wasn't being mean or ungrateful for wanting to have her own name especially when she is in a complete different field from her sister. If anything she should be praised for wanting to gain fame and money with her actually skills and not just name drop her sister constantly to stay relevant. Both girls are beautiful and talented in their own ways ❤❤❤

She is just an actress who happen to be Wongyoung’s sister, that’s all. She had to give up on her actress career from the very beginning because of the family she was born in? I don’t think so. Btw, I really like her acting in pyramid game, she’s actually scary and I like rewatching some scenes with her. Considering that it’s her very first role, it is amazing.

Of course she'd say that, of course she'd decline the fact that she used WY's name to get famous. Her appearance (for an actress/model), unlike her sisters' isn't outstanding at all. She even looks average/below average and even with WY's name I doubt she'll be able to get a main role in a big channel's drama (Doesn't mean she's ugly, but you can see that she's far away in terms of face card from the usual female leads). So of course she had to use her name or otherwise she'd probably be a nobody. And now she says she wants to be known as her own person, that's kinda even worse if you think about it "Yeah Ik I used my sister to get famous, but now that you know me forget the fact that she's my sister and love me for myself." Which won't ever happen because Wonyoung is too... Wonyoung to be ignored. If she truly wanted to be her own person, she should have waited until getting popular herself for her talents and then reveal who she was.

Would u want to be stuck in ur siblings shadow?? she’s not being rude, they just sensitive to people who want to build their own career, not used to it anymore since many k celebrities are backpacking on their colleagues or relatives. People need to know the difference between someone wanting to build their own career and have their own name and being ungrateful that they have everything given to them. I’m super sure that they love each other very much and people need to stop painting a bad relationship between them like they always do with wonyoung.

Even though i dont have a famous older sibling, I have the "perfect" sibling and everywhere I go, I'm compared to them and people always say that he's better. I don't even have my own identity. It's kinda the same for Jang Da ah but on a much larger scale. She isn't wrong at all. And her acting was so good in her debut kdrama pyramid game so you can't even say that she's untalented
