Fun fact: I was the baby kicking her legs from 1:22-1:28 😊❤️ I'm 27 now! The music video was shot in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - at the children's hospital pool. That was my favourite Minnie Mouse bathing suit, or as I pronounced it, "babe-ing suit". My mom took me to baby & mama swimming lessons basically from the moment I was born. They asked if they could film our class and my mom thought nothing of it, not realizing Jann Arden would become a global superstar, even 30 years later. This video came out in 1993 - and was posted to youtube SIXTEEN YEARS LATER when most songs would've been long forgotten, and still has over 900,000 views. I didn't realize this song was so famous until adulthood really, and I certainly didn't know it was on an episode of Baywatch, so thank you to those in the comments who mentioned that! I recognize a lot of other scenes from Calgary's downtown city core, the man walking from 1:18-1:22 in front of all the fancy-looking pillars is outside of The Bay at Stephen Avenue Place. I'm only posting this for all the die-hard fans I see in the comments, I thought some of you might want to know 😊 I certainly cannot drive past it without thinking about it now. I just showed this to my mama and she said: "So apropos because you’re the only person I would ever die for." ❤️ We sang this song a lot in our household. Still makes me cry when I hear it. There is a VHS somewhere with a video of me singing along to the song 😊 Maybe I can find it & convert it someday... ❤️ Friendly reminder to tell your mamma you love her!!!! No one can fully explain when a loved one whom has been raised in love goes down this devastating road. It's torturous 😢 I truly would die for my family to save them. I think the actual story was that while she was visiting various radio stations, an American PR guy told her that she was 30 pounds away from being a superstar in the US. When Jann got to her hotel, she called her mother to tell her what happened. Her mother told Jann that she should have told the guy that she really didn't want to put on any more weight.

I read somewhere that some idiot producer told Jan she was "a few pounds from being a superstar", suggesting she was 'too heavy' to make it to the top. Well, Jan IS a superstar, and she looks FABULOUS! This Canuck ex-pat says so. I just LOVE this song, and play it all the time.

I'm sure everyone is familiar with the show Baywatch right?I heard this song on that show it was the episode where Hobie,his mother and the mothers fiancé are in a plane ✈️ crash and they survive the crash but I remember the planes cabin filling up real fast with water cause they crash in the ocean.
