He's having a shot at the Olympics too. The only reason he cannot compete at RG this year (i mean the Slam, i know that olympics will be at RG) is his allergy. He has already proven to be an excellent clay player (Umag 2022, Montecarlo 2022-23, Barcelona 2021) so he's going to compete at RG once he fix the issue with allergy (unfortunately allergy to Gramineae grasses hits between mid april and mid june). And he started having a consistent first serve 45 days ago (did anyone remember the match against Nadal in Rome 2021? He lost that match because of the serve).

​@@user-ex1iq3hq2ziam both novak and sinner fan....yes novak will be heavy favourite in all slams.....but I believe sinner will be the biggest threat to him in all slams except French open even better than alcaraz and Medvedev...in last 02 months sinner has looked like the only player who can even close to beating novak,,rest are far far behind both of them.....ofcourse sinner has to improve his fitness for 5set slam matches as he looks velnerable in fitness dept.....

Concordo, perdere la finale gli serve per crescere molto più che vincerla; ha tempo per vincere le finals, anche più volte, in futuro. Oggi deve capire qual è la sua distanza da Nole, e come colmare il gap, che non è tanto tecnico, quanto di fisico e di esperienza. In ogni caso una vittoria lo stesso queste finals, e lo stesso Djoko che durante il discorso celebrativo dice "se continui così il numero 1 e multipli slam sono solo questione di tempo", concetto ribadito in conferenza stampa anche da Medvedev (cui Sinner certo non stava simpaticissimo; ora invece ho visto Danil più onesto e gentile nei confronti di Jannik...sicuramente ora lo stima come giocatore, e ha imparato a conoscerlo anche personalmente), anche Danil dopo aver perso la semifinale ha detto "Jannik è materiale da numero 1 e da slam, dovremo solo vedere quanti ne vincerà, perché non si parla di solamente uno". Lo stimano e rispettano tutti, a partire da Alcaraz con cui c'è buona amicizia ed un rapporto cordiale ed onesto (come Federer e Nadal...nemici mortali sul campo, ma fuori grande rispetto), è sicuramente destinato a darci molte soddisfazioni in futuro.

Lo ha salvato non solo per correttezza ma perché probabilmente lo voleva affrontare in finale e batterlo nuovamente, si sarà fatto i suoi calcoli, peccato solo l'esito finale ma Jannik ha sciorinato un tennis spettacolare e già nel 2024 potrebbe vincere il suo primo slam.

Nel 2. set contro Rune ha avvertito il doloretto alla schiena, per non rischiare di peggio poteva decidere nel terzo set di giocare solo al 70%. Ha preferito dare tutto sè stesso. E così ha perso il titolo.

@@carloartificialintelligence Non credo non abbia fatto nessun calcolo, perché proprio in virtù del problema alla schiena, sarebbe bastato vedere qualcosa e lasciar passare Rune, ma Jannik è troppo corretto e ha vinto, sapeva benissimo della possibilità di sfidare nuovamente Djokovic in finale,ma è arrivato scarico e ha perso.

Novak is present, but the future is short term; Sinner (and Alcaraz, and Rune, and Shelton) are present but also will be future for long time, so it's natural that ATP pushes more the young players. Also, you have hundreds, thousands of hours of Djoko highlights during his career, while young players have much less, so also from the content point of view it's natural to create more content for them. Also, Sinner was playing on home soil, so another motive while he gets more video time.

No it wasn't. Even if he had lost there's no guarantee of winning with Rune, Medvedev and Alcaraz still in the competition and he wanted to turn that head to head against Rune round. Also, he needs to know he can face the very best and learn how to win. And last but not least he has too much integrity.
