I remember watching this live and thinking these two would be awesome doubles partners. they'd bring relentless power and speed and have very contrasting personalities, which would make it feel all the more unique.

But what counts as "massive" these days? Most have pretty speedy serves. It's not Sinner's standout quality, but even Djokovic does not have a supersonic serve. Sure, he is very versatile with it, but velocity is not that far above average top ten.

The 2023 Asian swing was insane. You-Know-Who, Alcaraz, & Meddy had gobbled up the lion's share of points which left everyone else scrambling post-USO to try & qualify for Turin. Beijing was a brutal bloodbath with the most insane draw. Sinner won, but it took a lot out of him. Shanghai is a faster court on tour & Shelton was a bit fresher. Then Shelton went on to win Tokyo, but it took a lot to nab a 500 as his maiden title. Immediately traveling straight to Vienna, he was spent. Remarkably, both contests were still super close. Their third meeting will be the first where neither guy is fatigued off the back of winning a 500, so they'll both have more energy. As a newly minted Slam champion in tip top form, Sinner has the edge for sure, but it'll be an entertaining contest nonetheless. Game respects game.

I’ll be first to admit…I thought especially after the US Open glaze session where Novak destroyed him, I thought Shelton was a bit overrated. I stand corrected after continuing to watch him play, man is a few tweaks/a bit more experience away from being a proper nightmare to deal with, what HUGE tennis he plays, jeez.

Shelton's and Sinner's skills are so intimidating. I just finished watching Murray Vs. Nadal at 2011 Monte Carlo... these young guns are hitting so much harder and through the court than the older guys even in their prime. Truly high octane stuff.

Sinner is definitely at a better level that in that moment. But Shelton is not, he is not having the best start of the year with a lot of inconsistency.

In this match you can see Sinner's weakness exploited by Shelton. Deep balls do a lot of damage to Sinner as he is prone to being too close to the back line to be able to play his incredible angles. From now on, we are going to see more players trying to do this against Sinner (not easy) just like what happened last year against Alcaraz, the top players learned from his weaknesses.

I think sinner made a lot of ungorced errors in the most important moments of this match! Along side of that, his serve improved big time! He will win today, in straight sets! Just watch and see

It's not updated. Sinner is taller than his compatriot Sonego (1.90m), probably 6'4 / 1.93m.

sinner's game style is more technique beside shelton's shots are more powerful. and sinner seems taller than shelton that probably this is a cons, but reality shelton is taller.

They are the same height. And Sinner's shots are more technique based, but he also has more power on the groundstrokes than Shelton. But it's quite close in terms of power and Shelton has the bigger serve.

It should be mentioned that Sinner was tired from the title and strenuous matches in Beijing when he faced Shelton in Shanghai 2023. Still, Jannik almost won the match. Since then Sinner has further improved his level, so today he is the favorite by far for the victory.

tennis Is a class sport ,It Is not like football, in tennis there are some not write rules about behavior. This Is One of the Reasons why Roger Is so loved all over the world and why Nole It Is not.in tennis people dont like grunting etc ...shelton like tiafoe or sonego kyrghios have to understand this. No more joker no more discussions no more Racket on the ground Just play and respect
