@@juliusthomas86 Highlights only show the best and/or the most important points. Condensed match is basically the whole match without the pauses between points and games.

This match was the beginning of the end of Novak's dominance. The guard began to gradually change from this match onwards... little did we know at the time last year, but it proved to be. The effect wasn't immediate as Novak had one last ditch effort hurrah after surviving round robin stages with average performances and raised his level to storm the title defence (similar to Fed in 2007 before his decline from 2008 onwards). But Sinner got belief from this match that, when it got competitive, he could outduel Novak in crucial, tight moments and so it proved when he Houdini'ed 0-40, 3 match point saves in a row in that infamous Davis Cup semifinal clash that proved decisive on which nation would win and then cruise to the title in the final. Then more confidence flowed from it and Sinner ended Novak's dominance at the Australian Open. He hasn't lost against Novak ever since, and those matches weren't particularly close at all (except for a set or two).

Sinner was peaking after the USO 2023. The difference was Novak was playing at a high level, while now he’s finished.

Sinner is the best player right now, without too many same level players, Sinner can achieve higher goals as what Djokovic achieved. Djokovic faced Nadal, Federer, Warinker, Murray, etc, but currently similar level player maybe only Alcaraz one person. Not fair.

All of the big three have said that they became who they are because of the other two. They might have won more slams if there was only one other player at their level, but it's not certain. And I don't think Wawrinka and Murray ultimately made a big difference and I don't think they would have taken that many slams off Sinner and Carlos.

Played Nadal twice in rg as a 19 yr old and once in rome as a 19 year old when nadal won rome that year by beating Djokovic and Zverev . Only Soderling and Zverev have decent record against Nadal at RG .
