Do you have your presser foot down when you're threading? It should always be up. When the presser foot is down, it closes the tension disk, and makes it hard to pull the thread through.
Thanks for your video. The School Mate models are described as "designed specifically for classroom use". What does that mean? How are they different from the non-School Mate models?
In Australia this is called a JanomeDc3050, unless I am greatly mistaken. Certainly different from the sewing machines which were used in sewing classes in toe 1970s. 😂 Much fancier.
