Yes! Definitely enjoyed both! And ooo no, SARS isn't one I have read about in a standalone, though Spillover by David Quammen looks at it as one of the chapters.

Keen to give The Raptures a go! I’ve had Paul on my shelves for weeks and it’s staring at me but I’m worried the character’s decisions will drive me mad haha 😭

Mrs Caliban sounds interesting! Nightshift sounds fascinating and really creepy. I saw Viral and I almost bought it in the Waterstones sale but for some reason I didn't, part of me is glad after what you've said but I do think it would be an interesting read regardless

I get so many great "sciencey" nonfiction recs from you! Not sure of you've heard of it but I recently read The Perfect Predator by Steffanie Strathdee and Tom Patterson and its my new favorite medical/science memoir. Might be one that you like as well.
