I heard this saying " people who are privlaged don't know they are privlaged " That really subk in because I've definitely seen that in budgeting / financial groups when someone says something that comes from privlage. So I've been using that mindset to really examine my life and realize that thought I'm not where I want to be, there's million of people who wish they had my life to whine about. My family living in poverty in Mexico and the family fleeing during the war in Syria to rebuilding have it rough. I am very lucky to go to bed and know I'm not getting bombed. Very very lucky to be here.

Hey Stephanie, happy to see you have a supportive partner. 😊 You’re absolutally right, we live in privilege. I’m in my early 40, but i grew up taking baths in a concrete sink where we washed our clothes. To cook we had to collect wood, and start the fire. Our winter heating was a coal stove. Now everything comes easy, but i never forget those challenges growing up. We were never poor, but lived in a rural setting, and life was simple… my friends from city backgrounds don’t get that. I’m very blessed, and happy for the life lessons learned along the way!

Yes!! I grew up easy but my other family didn't and I see how lucky I am. I never forget it and would love to be able give back to the community! Thank you for sharing your story 💕

Thank you for sharing your experience and reminding us of how our perspective can be influenced by our limited experiences. I love how you implement the psychological aspects of money management. It took a while for me to understand the impulse spending which led to a cycle of debt was in response to my childhood experience with a single parent household and “FOMO” (fear of missing out) being teased by schoolmates because I didn’t dress like everyone else. Healing trauma allows for more clarity when those impulses strike b/c you are aware to stop and ask why to check your intention. When we stop to count our blessings we attract more of them. Blessings to you for a year of health and growth.
