It's a crucial part of an important year for the U.S. WNT, so we mic'd up defender Crystal Dunn, midfielder Julie Ertz and forward Megan Rapinoe to take you behind-the-scenes of the USA's first days in Portugal during January Camp as the players and coaching staff start their 2019 prep for the FIFA Women's World Cup this summer.

0jT of course i do tf. anyways, men play against because that’s their competition, and women play against women. one league isn’t theoretically harder than other because they are both matched up with their peers. you didn’t accomplish anything

0jT 0jT yet the US one of the biggest population fans greater player pool for US men’s team than most of their competitors. there is no reason to why they shouldn’t get in the world cup. US Women’s soccer is not as promoted as the US Men’s soccer team, so they use the funds that US Soccer has to equally advertise both sports, and since women’s soccer is progressively becoming popular every year in the US.

@gjaddajg Well I'll love if you could give me an example of Julie Ertz or Tobin Heath saying so, because I don't recall it. But if it is true, surely not every women on the team believes so. For instance, I love playing football as a girl but I don't compare myself to men because I'm not a man. But I've seen many comments of people instantly slamming Girls Football because they compare them to men. It makes me sad :'(

I never said that all those players wouldn’t matter, and I sure as hell wasn’t saying that Julie isn’t good. I’m saying that if you lost one player on the team that it wouldn’t be that big of a difference since the US has such a strong team and they constantly have youngsters coming in.
