Going with the seasons has *always ALWAYS* worked better for me. All these goals extravaganza-ing that’s been forced into our brains is so counterintuitive. Even if you’re not a nature buff, who- tell me *WHO*- wants to jump into all the goals just after the holiday havoc?

I only read 3 books in January (oops), but THEIR VICIOUS GAMES was one of them! Not my absolute favorite, but I did enjoy it! Congratulations on your progress with BITTER BONES! And 21 pain free days! Amazing! I’m glad to see your new Squishmallows! I was hoping to see them in this video! 😍
I appreciate that people are starting to call out the weirdness of new year's resolutions more and more. Like, no. I am not going to suddenly revamp my entire routine and personality in January. I'm hibernating.
Changing my routines and habits to suit the seasons is one of my goals for this year! Last year I embraced my summer blues and hibernated under the AC, and I felt so much better than I ever did fighting it. The mental health benefits alone (none of that "Why can't you do this thing now when you could do it easily in winter?" type thinking) were so worth it!
I AM HERE FOR THE TEA SEGMENTS. And the dragon segments. I'm so happy your health is doing well. It's encouraging to hear you discuss about it because I am struggling to get the motivation to workout. I want to do it to help my chronic pain when I go abroad in a month.

Guuuuuuurl, the "I'm healed!!" delusion that those of us with chronic health issues have is REAL. lol! Yesterday I told my mother on the phone, "I am looking down at normal sized ankles right now💁♀" .....and today *wham* they be swole 😅 But I'm so happy that you had so many pain free days today!! Also, can't wait to hear once you start doing school visits... that's what I look forward to most when I get published (one day - just speaking that with false confidence...lol)

Your dragons look so cool! I'm terrible at naming things but I just watched LOTR so I've got Galadriel on the mind, if you like her? I totally agree with the DNF energy for 2024, I put aside a book i had been trying to read most of 2023 as I just did not want to bother. Slow energy in January hit me, mostly because I got sick, so definitely delayed my goals but I'm just not mad, I ended up catching up on some books because I took a page from your book and listened to a ton of audiobooks. ☺

I would absolutely love to see the thriller that is 100% gritty and serious, except the main character reacts in the same way as your summaries. It would a delight! I like the way Megan Brush put it for the transition from the holidays into January; that its like spending time in a cozy warmth before stepping out into the cold. You don't get mad at yourself for feeling cold and its alright to ease into it and letting yourself adjust. I don't celebrate the holidays or find anything particularly special about the new year, besides struggling to write the correct date, but its a lovely sentiment
