Ooo, Curious question: Also, Hi, Lindsay lol So, with Trad Pub, they let you have CPs and more specifically Betas read an unpublished draft? In my mind, I assumed no copy of the story was allowed to be seen other than by the Trad house. Cause, that's really cool you can still get beta type feedback during drafting/editing phase in Trad.

Lol "necrotic habits". Yes, the apple crisp oatmeal macchiato is delicious! I also get it with only half the pumps. Love watching your vlogs--They're usually the butt-kick I need to get things back on track. Congrats on making deadline! But yeah, I get what you mean about being too close to a project to be objective about it...the stress of deadlines can totally magnify that feeling, for sure. I've been so out of sorts for most of this summer, having some existential crisis about the meaning of life/pointlessness of it all while simultaneously having a ridiculous amount of creative ideas just pooling in my brain. I think this is my clever(?) way of keeping myself from finishing this round of revisions (which, I swear to goddess, I started in like, February?), because all I'll have left after this is writing my query letter and that's when things get real?? Seems like a good time to question my existence. All that to say that I have not been setting deadlines at all, and I think I really need to now. But the deadline needs to come with a consequence and/or a reward 🥲 I used to be great about committing to myself, but now I think I need something to help me push through this last bit because FEAR.
GIRL! I'm a month late to this update, but STILL... Your description of Chosen Garden Gnome Grandma is giving me full-on Terry Pratchett vibes, and I swear to all that is chaotically good in the world, we Need more of that. So I hope you have fun writing it with no thoughts about expectations! But if you get the inkling to 'consider' doing something with it, I think CGGG would find a home in the hearts and hands of Tons of adults looking for more whimsy on this twirling space rock. I hope the arm is healing well! ❤🩹 Also: I LOOOOOVE CULT OF THE LAMB. Cutest diabolical vibes EVER, and I absolutely need to get back to that. It's so soothing?
