Did you use tripod when you make the video?I see you used SLR camera in this video.How did you keep the picture do not shake?

I have some stabilized lenses, I try to stay steady when I walk and I use a warp stabilizer in post. I usually manage to get it right but some bits are still a bit shaky.

Out of curiousity, do you speak Japanese? And if not, how do you find out about all these events and what are your thoughts on the language barrier? Would love to go sometime, but that language barrier makes it seem impossible to get around o_O

I know a few words but that's it. I went to TGS on the first day and left my card to a cosplayer who contacted me later (using google trad) so that I could give her the pictures I took. I then asked her if she knew any cool events happening soon and she sent me a list. I also kept an eye on JAPAN-ATTRACTIONS which tells you about events in Japan. I'd say you can have very basic conversations with people in English. They mostly understand what you're talking about but they often reply in Japanese which is alright if you manage to catch a few words. In public places like transports and restaurants you usually find text translations or you can simply point at things you want and they'll understand. Trains speak English. So don't worry too much about it, just watch some VLOGs about Japan to get the idea of how things work and you'll be fine.

I had the exact same question, thanks for being such Hugh Jackman-y cool guy and taking the time to answer peoples questions and so on and so forth. (Also for making such fuckawesome videos [so awesome I'm willing to forgive you for having disparaged Bakemonogatari]). Also, when you say trains speak English, what do you mean by that? Is Japan ACTUALLY filled with anthropomorphic machines like anime has always taught me?

Yeah, trains, elevators, escalators, they all talk, all the time. But only trains know English. Sadly it's just audio.
