Japan 28 Days - Day 22 - Bamboo Without Tourists 

We (me and my wife) are on a 28-days vacation to Japan in May/June 2023. This is our 17th trip to Japan!
We were in Kyoto for a few days and decided check out an alternative to the over-crowded bamboo forest in Arashiyama. We took a train to Higashimuko in Western Kyoto and then walked 20 minutes to the "Takenomichi" (means bamboo road). We saw one other tourist in 25 minutes. This bamboo forest is considerably larger than the "normal" bamboo forest and I would argue that it's as beautiful and nice.
