Hi rob and ali your next trip sounds exciting. Interested to see what your thoughts are on the MSC. im off to new zealand in march next year with quantum of the seas. If you decide to pick that cruise would love to meet you both.
Hi Joanne. The MSC ship looks great, hope it lives up to expectations. We do have a cruise to New Zealand booked for next year but it is on Celebrity Edge (another new whip for us). We both still work so that will be our 'long' cruise for next year due to limited leave days.
Hi, my husband and I are off to Japan at the end of August and are doing a 12 night cruise from Yokohama on the celebrity millennium. We have four nights booked at Yokohama before, and one night after. (It's a beautiful city and when I was there in 2018, I decided if I ever went back to Japan, it would make an excellent base.) Believe it or not, we're also staying at the Citidines. Lol. We are still trying to decide on transport to yokohama, as our flight from Brisbane gets in to Narita around 6.45pm. I'll be waiting to check out your videos for tips, as it's annoying all the public transport finishes so early. Thanks for some fun content, we enjoy watching your videos. I recommend watching Rion Ishida on youtube for sightseeing tips. He lives in Tokyo and makes some really entertaining videos.
Hi Sandra. I suspect that you are on the Qantas flight same as us because we are due to land in Narita at that time. I think we are going to take the N'EX (Narita Express) train which goes through to Narita. However it looks like the only option for that might be the last train which leaves at 8:45 so there is a 2 hour wait. Our only concern is flight delays and what to do if we miss that one. Still working on a Plan B but if you have any thoughts please drop us a line and let us know. We'll do a review of thew Citadines whilst we are there so, hopefully that might be of interest to you. Also, thanks for the Rion tip. Not sure if this is one of the people that Ali has been watching but I'll let her know.
@@robandalicruisetravelWe are also concerned about flight delays, especially since the trains and buses finish so early. My travel agent is looking into 'Tokyo Airporter' transfers as an option, as there are 4 of us. Looking forward to your videos. 🙂
Hi Rob & Ali, we love watching your channel, always get some good tips from you. We can’t wait to see your Japan adventures as we are booked for July on Celebrity Millennium and also staying at Citadines pre cruise. We did a Diamond Princess cruise to Taiwan 8 years ago and like you we are also doing lots of research. Have a great trip
We are really looking forward to is but can't believe how much more there is to do than when we cruise from Australia, especially as we have never been to Japan before.
CBA Platinum does too. Used to be included without making any payment but they changed it in Feb this year to having to pay $500 in one transaction towards the travel. Not an issue for us as we use it for all the payments in order to get the points. It doesn't cover COVID on a cruise though so we do generally take a basic 'top-up' if we're going to New Caledonia. I don't think they require this anymore now though.
@@robandalicruisetravel ANZ was the first CC to cover covid you only need to $250 on your bookings but like you we pay the lot and get the points. 28 Degrees/Latitude Card is another to use for purchases overseas no added fees etc.
You are spot on with that one Deb, it was the doggies dinner time although what was exciting her was a little green tree frog on the wall. We have a few of them in our yard and they drive her mad.
Hi Shawn. We have been looking so long for an Airlie cruise that fits in with our schedule but the majority of them are mid-week and we really need to include a weekend in order to minimise the number of work leave days we use. Have a fantastic cruise.
As always love your content. I also love that you love your lists Ali. I do exactly the same thing on my apple notes - as I pick up tips & ideas on my research it gets added to my list of things to do, things to pack, things to buy or just things to follow up 🤪 I just wish my husband got as interested as Rob in the research side of things - mine just says “I’ll leave it to you” “whatever you want” - nice to have someone so laid back but doesn’t enjoy the excitement I have in pre holiday planning. Please show more of Ruby - we lost our Basil (also a mini schnauzer) last year and I am still seriously in mourning- great dogs! Take care & hope one day we catch up with you on a cruise- happy hols.
