Japan😍 I lived there for a year back in 2014 to 2015 and it was the nicest and most convenient country to live in as a Muslim. And I'm born and lived all my life in non-muslim countries, so I can compare😅. The country and its people are amazing in many ways. Those noodles are sticky due to an ingredient called Yamaimo (Japanese mountain potato). When you grate it it becomes sticky 😋
Sure about that? In the UK, we got halal food everywhere. Even the Subway and the Chicken Cottage are often halal in London. So I say the UK is the no. 1 non-Muslim country for Muslims. Besides that, in Japan, people often dislike religion, and they are also more shameless. For example, the Japanese children watch on TV a children's cartoon, and read since the 1960s a comic book, about a character called Doraemon, who is Japan's most popular cartoon character, perhaps more popular than Goku and Naruto and Pokemon and all the other famous Japanese cartoons. In this Doraemon cartoon and in the original comics, one of the running gags is very perverted indeed. It's what a feminist would rightly call rape culture. Did I mention that it's for children? In the UK, the people were originally Christian rather than pagan like the Japanese, so the British people and culture are more in line with Islam and general civility. Actually, now that I think of it, the UK is full of LGBT, and so is Japanese media. Therefore, you are better off with a more conservative country like Russia. Chechnya, a Muslim republic in Russia, actually is quite autonomous and follows its own law rather than Russian law. This is because Putin is scared of the Chechens. So Russia and the UK are better than Japan. Russia also has the less autonomous Dagestan, home of Khabib Nurmagomedov. As a Muslim, I'd much rather London or Grozny than Tokyo or Kobe.
That sticky white food is grated yam. It goes well with beef tongue. Japanese people love sticky foods like yam, natto and okra. They protect the mucous membranes of your body.
Sure about that? Japan is known for xenophobia. I guess you only see the workers in the tourist industry, which is why you think the Japanese are so friendly.
It looks grated yamaimo that is really nutritious and expensive. That has medicinal properties, and gives you energy. You can buy yamaimo in Asian stores in US.
MashAllah glad to see that you have gotten a chance to visit Japan really looking forward to this series! If you do get a chance to, check the car and motorcycle scene in Japan believe me it's one of the coolest parts of the culture

Even in that motley nightlife downtown area where you walked, if you dropped your wallet, the pickers would run after you and give you your wallet. That's what Japan is all about. I can't believe it, but it's true.
That isn't egg white, but grated yam. IT is popular style which is dropped egg yolk on the grated yam, it's called 《tsukimi》style. TSUKIMI means 『Looking Moon event』,that's japanese traditional domestic event.

Trains are on time, some the 4 minute window is just about enough time to get a drink from a vending machine before getting on the train, but the platform does not have a ton them at Narita on the Narita Express.
My favourite country!!! Careful with their food though, a lot contain beef/ pork products (even the least expected foods) and alcohol ✌🏼thank goodness for lots of seafood there

Japanese people are too conservative and feel bored. Also, when renting a room in Japan, be aware that some areas do not accept foreigners. People in Kyoto are especially conservative
Jay, did you get halal food? You have to check if it's a halal restaurant before you get in, you can find it on Google maps. There are some halal ramen shops as well as many halal Indian restaurants. If it doesn't say halal, it could have pork, alcohol or meat which isn't halal
Not an egg︎👍🏻 ̖́- It called tororo︎👍🏻 ̖́- Tororo (Japanese: とろろ) is a sticky food made from grating a yam. Tororo is mixed with other food that typically includes dashi, wasabi, and green onions, and the amount of these ingredients can be adjusted to suit one's taste. In Japan, tororo is eaten as a side dish, or added to noodles (udon or soba). Tororo has a lot of vitamin B1, vitamin C, calcium, potassium, and other vitamins and minerals.
