Whether this year has brought you smiles or tears, you've experienced another year full of memories and that's priceless 🤍 My highlight this year was truly this trip to Japan. It's been years since Pat and I travelled with just the two of us. Even though we spend so much time together everyday, being able to explore a totally new environment with one another was indescribably special ☺️ Edit: The giveaway has closed. Congrats Naomi for being the giveaway winner!
Nicki, Australia. The highlight of the year was I finished my PhD in STEM. I am originally from Burma but lived in South Korea and South Africa before settling down in Australia about 5 years ago. And despite various life challenges such as losing my Mother at 19 when I was already living abroad, I managed to get myself a PhD this year. My late mother was on her track to completing her PhD but she quit as she gave birth to my older sister so this year, I managed to fulfil her dream and mine
I'm Alice from France, and my highlight from this year is obviously my grandma's 100th birthday. She lives on the Réunion's island (12 hours flight from Paris), and her birthday was the perfect occasion to have a big family reunion and holiday, it was beautiful and emotional. I feel lucky for these memories. Have a nice day Hilary !
Miles from the Philippines. My highlight this year would be my 1st anniversary back to office job at 55 years old after being a plain housewife for 23 yrs!!!😊
Grapes, The Netherlands. My highlight of the year 2023 was when we were able to buy a house after years of trying. When I was looking for inspiration on how to style/decorate my home, I came across your channel. That’s how I discover your beautiful channel. I’m inspired how you can make things beautiful through DIY-ing.
Nádia, Finland. This year I’m finally making peace with living abroad, having to deal with actual winter season and darkness during many months, and dealing with anxiety and panic attacks. I moved here from Brazil right before the pandemic, and alone. Being away from family, friends in such a dreadful and stressful moment was an incredible challenge. I’ve been learning a lot, found a family here - a dog, a partner, friends - and I’ve been healing from inside out. Thank you so much for your videos, Hills, it’s one of the channels I go to when I deal with anxiety and panic attacks. You’re an inspiration. A wonderful holiday season for you and your family ❤️
Margarida, from Portugal. One highlight this year was signing up for an half marathon, training for it and racing in another country. It was super fun and encouraged me to dream big and set objectives. It also remembered me that I can do whatever I put enough effort into. :)
Leticia from Spain (but living in Germany :)). Highlight of the year was my first ever visit to New York, and visiting the National Public Library there 💓
Lisette, Netherlands. The highlight of my year is that I finally finished studying to become a primary school teacher! It was quite a struggle to get there, and I also almost quit in my third year 😅But now I'm working full time at a school with an amazing team. Most days are great fun and I love my class full of 4 to 6 year olds, but some days they do get on my nerves 😜 That's also part of the job tho 😁
I'm Lara, living in the Netherlands (but from Germany). My highlight overall is not one specific occasion, but that I have learned so much about myself and my mental health problems this year and have greatly improved how I am feeling and getting better. I can honestly say, that I am the happiest and healthiest I have ever been and I do feel proud of that! PS. I really enjoy your style of videos. I come to your channel when I want a calming video!
I'm Mathilde-Hà (pronounced Matilda) and I'm from France. My highlight of this year is that I finally left my old job that almost made me insane and that I'm starting a new one. Another one is the travel we finally organized with my parents so I can visit my home-country, Vietnam ❤ Thank you for all your videos and your surprise, your channel is my safe place ✨😘
I am Anka form Germany and my highlight this year was my spring Japan trip with my boyfriend. It was my second trip to Japan and it made me so so happy to show my boyfriend some of the places I loved the first time around and to discover new ones together - also all the delicious food was just the best and seeing the full cherry blossom season was pure magic!
Sarah from France. The highlight of my year was to finally be married with my best friend. It was a beautiful day and we both felt so moved by the love and support of our families
I'm Amélie, from France. My highlight from this year is that despite being quite scared about doing that at 32 years old, i got back into studying (a Master of Advanced Studies in my field) and passed the 1st year exams very serenely (and eventually with very satisfying grades which was the cherry on the top). Bisous Hillary !
Jen, US, what a wonderful comments section to read through! Congratulations to everyone for their accomplishments! My highlight would be hosting more people/events in our home. It’s a bit uncomfortable for me but I’m enjoying pushing beyond my comfort zone.
Bruna from the Netherlands. My highlight of the year was to buy my first ever owned house (in my entire life) with my partner. Right now we’re reconstructing but I can’t wait to move in. PS: I don’t have instagram. I hope that’s okay to still participate. 💛

Raquel, Portugal. My highlight this year was a big loss 👼 that we managed to turn into a big change in our family 🫶 i’m so proud for how much we have grown together ❤ thank you for the peacefull moments i had here in your channel
Laura, Spain. My highlight of the year was a wonderful trip to Japan that my partner and I took after so many years of not being able to afford it. It was our first travel overseas after 11 years together, so it was very special, and this video (and the ones you posted before about Japan) reminded me of our trip. We fell in love with the country -and also bought so many amazing things! Congratulations on your channel, your videos are the ones I choose to relax after long days.
Hi, Eva from Sweden here ❤️ One of my highlights of the year was when both my daughters and their familys (kids and all) came to the rescue to help me ”put the garden to sleep for the winter” when my husband has had an accident and couldn’t do any garden work. I made a chili for us all to eat and there was apple picking and lots of love and fun!
Diana, Ireland. My highlight is a DIY project inspired by your channel! I put up some faux panelling in my parents sitting room recently. It's not perfect but happy with the results for my first time using a mitre saw! The room is still a work in progress but I can't help but feel proud every time I sit down to unwind after a long day! I am happy I can help give my mom a space she can be proud of!
My name is Julie, and I'm currently living in Munich, Germany. 😄 This year has been really special to me since I got married to my partner, whom I met five years ago while we were still studying in Munich. 💍 It was an incredible experience to have my family travel all the way from Korea to celebrate our union in such a beautiful city 🏙 Now, getting back to your channel, I can't tell you how much joy and comfort watching your videos brings me. 💗 Your content is always so relatable and inspiring-whenever I see that notification pop up, it brightens up my day. 💕 I also love house makeovers and Asian food and products (as I am a Korean, hahaha 🙈). Thanks for all the amazing content, Hill. Keep cozy and enjoy the Christmas market!🎄
That was a delightful haul. Couldn’t join the giveaway but I’m glad to live vicariously through these vids! For the Snoopy coasters, you can try laminating them so that you can actually use them for their purpose! 😊
My name is Miriam, I live in Sweden, and my highlights this year was our trip to Japan in March, so much sightseeing, nomming and shopping! My second highlight is starting art school to follow my passions rather than force myself to fit into a mould not made for me. I'm so bummed that Muji Sweden has closed down. >_< Not sure if it will open again, but here's to hoping!
Hi, i'm Cátia from Luxembourg. It was a difficult year, after a lot of struggles, my kid was finally diagnosed with autism. But at the same time I got promoted on my job and bought my very own first car😊
I’m Victoria from Montreal. The highlight of my year was when my mum came to visit me for the first time since I moved to Canada 1 and a half years ago! I took some time off work and spent so much quality time with her around the city and in Quebec. As I’ve grown older my relationship with my mum has only grown stronger and I want to cherish time with her even more now than ever especially because we had a tough relationship while I was growing up! I’ve always said I don’t want to have kids, but when I’m with my mum I start to feel like I’d love to have what we have with my own children some day 😂
Hi! I'm Monica from Italy, my highlight for this year is probably having enrolled at university again to get my master's degree in Art History. I graduated 12 years ago and I'm working now, so it was a big decision to make

Verónica, Spain. The highlight of the year has definitely been adopting my cat after losing my previous pet three years ago. It has been a hard year in which I suffered the deterioration of health and the loss of my grandmother, whom I cared for. My furry little one has softened my soul on every bump in the road 💜
Jette, Germany :) the highlight of this year was finishing my training to be a medical technician and then going to New Zealand for three months afterwards
Irene, Spain. The highlight of the year was I was finally able to see SHINee in concert, my favorite group after following them for 12 years. I thought I would never fulfill that dream with my friends.
Luisa, Brazil. The highlight of my year was being able to travel abroad with my family for the first time. I had already done that, but it was my parents’ and sister’s first time. We went to Argentina and had a great time, but the sweetest memory is watching my parents and my sister going to another country and experiencing another culture, their bright eyes and happiness made my heart very warm, and I didn’t know that we could do that one day 🧡
Deepti, Germany. By the way I absolutely love your content and binge watch it often. It's amazing to see you transform spaces and the process behind it. The highlight of my year was finally being able to move in and join my husband here in Germany. This year couldn't have been any better. :)

And finally we have some time to spend together alone since the kids were born! Thank you for sharing this wonderful trip to Japan with us. Maybe that could be my next anniversary trip...
I’m Marie, from Germany! My highlight this year has been finding my love for hiking! I grew up in the alps and as a child I never liked going outside much, never mind hiking up a mountain… But now that I’ve moved away from home, I’ve been missing nature so much that I challenged myself to go hiking at least once each week. And I’ve been loving it! Nothing beats the view you have after hiking up a hill/ mountain! Getting back in touch with nature has been my highlight this year and I definitely wanna continue it going into the new year 😊⛰️
Hi! I'm Tamara from Slovenia and one of the most important highlight that warms my heart this year is temporarily sharing our small home with a gorgeous galgo rescue (spanish greyhound) that was looking for a forever home and learning so much about their super sad living conditions ... I cannot wait to adopt a pair once we find a rental that allows pets! 💛 Also your trip to Japan inspired us to want to travel there even more!
Ana here from Romania! This year was a bit of a rollercoaster but one of the major highlights must be going with my friends to a mountain cabin for a vacation :D There's something so cozy and magical about getting all bundled up in a blanket with a hot cocoa in hand while it's chilly outside
Blanca, Germany, my highlight of the year was simply surviving, I went to a rough depression and just be able to say I am still here and enjoying life more and more by day is exciting. I am saving up to go to Japan in the early future ♥
My name is Michalina and I’m from Poland, and my highlight this year is visiting Finland, meeting my favourite Jari-Matti Latvala in his home-museum, plus sightseeing Tampere. During my stay I mostly slept in the forests in my trusty tent 😅 because I went to see Rally Finland. I don’t travel very much so every chance I get I try to squeeze as much to do as possible! Watching other people travel is also fun to me - it’s almost as I travel with them. Bonus highlight is I bought the Cities Skylines 2 game and what city map does it have? TAMPERE. If this isn’t magic, then I don’t know what is!
Flóra, Hungary. My highlight of the year was our little trip with my boyfriend in November. We went to a botanical garden, a thermal bath and a watercolour workshop together, it was wonderful ☺️
Teddy from the UK here! I hope the UK is still considered part of Europe despite Brexit. The highlight of my year was a birthday trip with my dog and hubby to the picturesque countryside in Norwich. We cherished a few days on holiday, indulging in a delightful boat trip on my birthday. It's particularly meaningful as we explore the places where my hubby studied and savor dinner at his former student workplace, gaining insight into his past.❤❤

Aline, Germany - even if it was totally shocking for me to loose my job, it was so heartwarming to feel all the love & understanding from Family and Friends. I feel this could also be one of the best chances to look forward and make my health first a priority! So yeah, that is me looking really positive forward for once or just in this moment :') ❤
Tamara, Germany. My Highlight was our moving from a appartment we lived in for 6 years to a cute rental house with a small garden, trees and friendly neighbors. Here it´s quiet and relaxed and lots of nature surrounded us. We see and hear the birds and this morning we had the first snow (now it´s melted but I hope it will be back soon :) Thank you for the nice and calming videos you made. It is always a pleasure to watch them. Mostly with Tea and a cookie ;) Wish you (and Pat) all the best :)

My few but truly amazing friends is my world, 2023 really opened my eyes in this way :))
Kimnenh, Belgium. The highlight of this year would be my honeymoon to the south of France. Nevertheless it was a magical trip and actually our first trip where we get to spend the night.
Kasia, Poland. Highlight of this year would definitely be booking my tickets for next year trip to Japan, which is a loooong dream of mine coming true. I'M LOVING YOUR JAPAN-RELEATED CONTENT, not only because of that hahahah 😅
Fify from Malaysia. I’m commenting just to share (knowing that i’m not available for the giveaway, i still wanna share it with you). 2019-2022 were the toughest years for our small family (me, my husband and our son. He’s 6 now 😊). The worst, i got into a car accident last year. 2023, we finally see the light. Got the house key in April (my birthday month) and moved into our own home in June. Ever since then, i watched your videos and inspired to how you deco and stuffs. I’m also inspired to do videos and i’m into vlogs nowadays (for fun). Thank you Cloudy Hills. For inspiring me. ❤ Keep on sharing and i’m looking forward to watch more from you.

Juliette, from French Polynesia but living in the Netherlands. For years I had this strange feeling that my 27th year something amazing would happen. It’s all nice but then it comes with expectations..! Best thing happening to me this year (maybe a bit boring?) is to have finally figured out what I really wanted as a job, going to my manager about it and making it happen…! I am incredibly lucky. There are still so many things I would like to do for this year, but I am also learning to let go, take time for myself and go at a slower pace. Thank you for making such lovely, relaxing and artful videos that inspire so many people around the planet.🍭✨✨ (Also - how good is butter beer eh!! 🍺)

We are a long-distance couple (Germany to Switzerland) and will finally move in together in spring next year. :)) Since we started planning our future, I feel so much more lighter and happier after being in a pretty bad place with my mental health during and after Covid. But now I can finally look forward again :) Someday, we want to visit Japan as well, so I looooved your travel videos! I almost never comment, so this is a good possibility to tell you that I really enjoy your creativity and your content. Your personality is so calming and I love your little adventures
Aye, when you said you collect snoopy figures from Happy Meal, that instantly reminded me of all the snoopy figures I used to have back when I was little! When I was 1 or 2 years old, my grandmama from Hong Kong always came to the mainland to visit me with goodies, and that included happy meal figures! I kept them until I immigrated to Canada and those figures were given to other relative's kids as toys. Back in the day, Happy meal figures were big and very high quality. I still remember they were at least an adult palm size big compares to the teeny tiny ones I see nowadays in NA. Very happy to be your subscriber, it is nostalgic to listen same childhood memories! :D Wish your days are filled with love, happiness and healthiness! Love From Canada!
Hi, I'm Laura from Germany. My highlight was moving in together with my boyfriend and also travelling 2 weeks with him through Italy.
