We interrupt your regularly scheduled vlogs to present you our first day in JAPAN! We'll be back to posting the rest of the Vietnam series this Wednesday! Thanks so much for watching!
That’s awesome ☺️ Thank you so much for watching and commenting ☺️ We love reading the comments. We are loving Japanese food so much. We will definitely try some of those other items you mentioned and find some family restaurants. ☺️ Do you have any family restaurant recommendations? We are in the Shinjuku area but will move closer to the Disneysea area next week. We have been getting some food from convenience stores, and it’s amazing. We can’t believe how good it is. ☺️😍 Thank you again 🥰 -Linds
Like you, we have waited & waited & waited for Japan to reopen. We canceled our trip 3x since 2020. I think I will be emotional like you were! This is so exciting. Spring can’t come enough! Ugh! See you in March, Japan!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Not going to lie seeing your excitedness on the train made me tear a little.. were hoping to go japan next October a life long once in a lifetime trip for me... and can see myself being that stoked through you..
Oh yay!!! I really hope you can make it! Not every place in the world lives up to my dreams of it. But so far, Japan has far exceeded them! It's been a wonderful experience!
Thanks! It really is! We had tickets booked for May 2020, then again in August 2021. Then Again in May 2022!!! So it’s been amazing to finally be here!
Amazing episode, Thankyou family was awesome seeing you enjoy it so much ❤ also important to see how emotional you got, gave real context to the video , keep it up and happy travels
Oh my gosh best video so far! Loved the girls participation. Stopping the sushi train was hilarious. Everywhere looks so clean and beautiful. I’m getting emotional too. I hope you are going to visit one of the forests, they look amazing.
Thank you so much!! 🥰 I’m so glad I was recording when Adam did that with the sushi train 😂😂 We laughed SO hard!! 🤣 It’s VERY clean here! I tear up on the daily just so happy we are experiencing all this 🥰 Yes, we will be going to one of the forests 🌳🥰
OH WOW! RU-vid put you on my homepage! and about time, you guys are awesome!! So happy you made it to Japan, cant wait to see more of your Japan adventures!

@@adamandlinds 14:35 in your video I can explain the mini game about the plates, you have a empty the plates when you done your meal, in the same table youre we're sitting on the right there was small hole and theres a message place the empty plate here. You have do it the right time I think, then you look that tablet if you win You will get a small price gashapons or mini toy on top of the meals place theres a mini machine.
Its good you can find your luggage storage in shinjuku. Because shinjuku is like a giant labyrinth 🤣 And really love your fams. Really excited to explore japan
I don't understand a lick of English, but when I see you trying to get sushi at Kura Sushi, I want to help you, I want to help you! from the bottom of my heart. But this kind of thing is also an experience ☺️.
Awesome, we are planning a trip to Japan with our son Jack. Your video was really helpful as most videos on Japan only cover the tourist stuff and couples, they never show or talk about travelling with young kids. Any tips on flying with kids on the plane?
Thank you very much!! ☺️ If you can get a row on the plane that you can keep the middle seat open that really helped us on this flight because the girls could lay down and sleep ☺️ IPads, coloring books, small toys and snacks always help our girls get through a flight. 🥰 Safe travels and you will love it here ❤️❤️
Welcome to Japan 😊 You must be tired from the long trip. Will you be visiting places other than Tokyo? I'm watching Osaka 👍 Please eat a lot 😄 Have a nice trip ❗️
Just found your channel! I am up at 1:45am California time! We just came back from Japan! We were there 10/17- 11/2! Hope you have as much fun as we did! Will you be taking the girls to Disney sea or Disney Tokyo? It’s pretty inexpensive compared to LA Disneyland that’s for sure! Besides Disney Sea we go carted around Tokyo streets which was a blast! Also went to Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara! Can’t wait to come back, enjoy your time! It’s amazing there!
Thank you so much!! We are having a blast ☺️ Japan is amazing 😍 Yes, we are surprising the girls on Tuesday and taking them to DisneySea 😍 We really want to do the Mario kart around Tokyo. It sounds amazing! We head to Osaka in a few days, then Kyoto. We are hoping to go to Nara and Hiroshima. 🥰 I’m so glad you all had a great time here!! ☺️ Thank you for watching us. 🥰 -Linds
@@adamandlinds oh and at Disney Sea, you must try the green mochi toy story Martian balls! They ate filled with custard, so delish! But it closes by 3pm, the stand is by Indiana Jones ride….enjoy!
Thanks so much! It's been wonderful so far! The mySOS app is the app the government uses to track Covid status. We needed it to preauthorize our vax status and get through the entry health screening. However, they are changing the program to something called Fast Track. From what I can tell, though, it seems to offer the exact same functionality. Create an account, scan your passport, and scan your Vax card. Then they give you a status Blue, Yellow, or Red and a QR code to show on arrival.
Good evening Clakson San and your nice family . yes, yes, I have to say yes to your nice video. especially, when you stopped the moving Susi at Kurazushi Sushi restaurant, it was very funny situation to me. yes, whynot? because no one stop the moving susi at there in Japan. but you did it. it was very funny to me. yes, for me it was nice video thank you . and I was being able to understand that your family were enjoying this your private trip in Japan. so next time if you could go to the countryside of Japan, I think a lot of very interested thing or scens you may look. Anyway I could get relax feeling from your video . thank you . and finally. I wish you and your famil will be happy more and enjoy your time in Japan .
Haha 😂😂 I was cracking up and so happy that I was recording him 😬😂 so funny!! We finally got it figured out 😅 Thank you very much for you comment 🥰 -Linds
How much was the AirBnB?....I am hoping to get to Tokyo in Jan..and not sure whether to use an AirBnB or just a hotel...Thanks.....Looked like alot of fun!
It was super affordable. The total after all fees and taxes and anything else that gets tacked on was $603 USD for 7 nights. We loved the location as well. Quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of all the offerings of Shinjuku. Here is where we stayed: www.airbnb.com/rooms/39672225?source_impression_id=p3_1667823406_tFK3qcFtrGzYCNQF Thanks for watching, and I hope you have a fantastic time in January. I know we are!
@@adamandlinds Thanks folks for the swift and detailed reply..I am going to see my favourite band LIVE at the Garden Theater in Tokyo..And hope to vist a few sites around the city..band MV locations. Plus the famous Scramble Crossing..I am hoping to get to Kyoto as well..and maybe a quick trip to Hiroshima...But I have never traveled alone before..I lost my partner to cnacer in 2017 and she was the one who took care of all bookibng etc..She wa very god at such things..Me , I'm useless...But I won a ticket to see them so have to make my way there...(from UK)..And I am very anixous as I am not very good at life in general...so..looking into what options there are...I may just end up staying in Tokyo as going further afield might be beyond my low skills..But have to book soon as it's in early Jan. Plus as you pointed out..the MySOS app is no longer an option..You have to go through a Japanese health site to get 3 codes to enter..So it all abit uo in the air right now..Anyway..Thanks for the reply. Arigatou Gozaimasu!
You should not let the small children stay near the conveyor especially they are not used to such because after all the mom said that the girls doesn’t know what’s going to happen. One adult should be the one near the conveyor .
Welcome to Japan! Have a fun trip to Japan. Please don't mind wearing a mask especially outside. Traveling without masks is more enjoyable in terms of free feelings.
How was your experience shipping your luggage from Narita airport to Airbnb? As well as doing it to Osaka? Was it easy to use and communicate with the staff where you wanted luggage to go? Thank you!! 😊
Took a little bit of work with Google Translate. Also, some of the addresses we stayed at were only given to us in Japanese, so we had to rely on the staff at Yamato to write the address for us as we couldn't write in Japanese. It would be easier if we stayed at hotels, but we made it work. I would also NEVER have done it if we didn't have Apple Airtags in all our bags. Multiple times we were able to see our luggage was at the local distribution point only a block or two away, and we were able to go pick them up. Most Japanese don't speak English very well, but they are almost all so friendly and willing to help us out even though we speak even less Japanese!
Haha well we were in Kuala Lumpur, so already adjusted to the time change and it was only a 6.5 hour flight, but yes we were definitely tired by the end of the night 🤣🤣🤣
Great video with really helpful tips! We are planning on going in February, so will be rewatching. I do have one tip though, the audio levels seem a bit off as it was hard to hear the dialogue, the music was louder and overshadowed it. Great video anyhow!
Aww thanks! Great tip. Rewatching it I definitely notice the audio issues. Thanks I will have to work on that for future videos. Have fun in February it’s really amazing here!!
We have been unable to locate an eSim that has data and voice. I would really like to have a Japan phone number. As things like luggage transfers will only accept Japan phone numbers. There are a couple companies that do physical voice sims. But we didn’t want to take our primary SIM cards out of our phones. So we’re stuck with data only right now.
As much as I’ve watched, you have followed all the rules in Japan. You guys are fantastic and your kids are so well behave!!! It’s just Japanese people value rules so much, and have a high expectation on strangers to not bother others in public, such as be quiet on a train or not talking and post picture/video of strangers in public. Even mask wearing, the gov of Japan had to make an announcement to take off the mask in outdoor and/or enough space around you.
Just came across your videos that you are staying in my neighborhood. Welcome to Tokyo! Here are recommendations to eat around here from a local. Marugame Seimen A popular, inexpensive udon noodle chain has a store at the Tokyo Opera City building, about 10 min walk from where you stay. It's inexpensive, comforting, fresh udon noodles shop on the second floor of the Tokyo opera city building. You walk in, tell a man what type of noodle you like, then pick up any tempura items if you like and then pay at the end. Usually, it costs less than $8. After the meal, you can pick up a few food items at the nice small grocery store called Seijo Ishii, located in the basement of this building. Zauo (shinjuku branch) fishing restaurant/izakaya. At the bottom of Washington hotel, again around 10 min walk from where you stay. This is a restaurant where you can fish, and have them prepared. Better to book in advance, and ask for the table on the boat or private room where you can see the fish. It's fun and the staff is friendly. Musashino Mori Coffee Shinjuku Chuo Koen park Its family restaurant-style coffee shop serves one of the softest pancakes. It is located right in the park, a 5 min walk from your place. It kids friendly. Be safe and enjoy your time in Japan!
Thank you so much ☺️ We went to the udon restaurant you suggested and it was good. Thank you ☺️ We will have to check out the others you suggested. Thank you so much for watching us ❤️ -Linds
