Chris R. He does get paid a decent money. Who do you think paid a portion, if not all, for the food? If I were the owner of the restaurant and want to get the word out to the world, food is on me. Just like any big name vloggers.
Never thought I'd say this but I love watching Mike eat! He really enjoys his food, but not in a gross way. I can't believe he finally got so full he didn't want anything more to eat!
THANK YOU! You not only said the name of the restaurant, but you linked to it, AND posted the dishes. I so appreciate it as we've been watching your videos for inspiration. Please keep doing this!!!
You are the only food traveler that I have seen that is ACTUALLY HONEST and voices your real opinions. Thank you. I love watching you. I WANT TO MEET YOU!! IM IN KOREA. - your #1 fan
Mike, I like how you dive right in, without any hesitation! When his eyes close, you know it's a party on his taste buds! By far my favorite food channel on RU-vid! keep up the great work!
H KV It's just can iconic chain that I think would be good to visit(which he did). Just make opinion. Sometimes it's fun to try the fast food of other countries
Mike you need to be on Food Network Channel or the Travel Channel with your own food show. I love your videos and think you should cast a pilot to them. I love your videos on all 3 channels ❤❤❤ We need someone like you on tv ❤❤❤
Never even heard about that chicken thing! Your channel is amazing for many reasons, but one of the main points surely is that it's gonna be my food guide through Asia!
I love all of your videos and all of your channels. You never cease to amaze me and your palette always intrigues me! Because of you and a Mukbang channel called Keemi I have been trying lots of new Asian/Chinese dishes. Love you man!
This is so cool!! I'm going to Japan in a couple of months and this series is absolutely perfect, going to try out all of those place from your Japan series :) Thanks for making this amazing content Mike!
Free range raised chicken is the healthiest chicken you can eat. It has no GMO intake from feeding with GMO crops, no antibiotics unless they are actually ill and they are out eating natural foods and not contained in a small space. Some places in farm country you can buy true organic chicken and they are very good in flavor and healthy!
Haha! and I just ate some chicken hearts (and liver) today. Love those chicken hearts. My wife likes to make a "black chicken" (black meat) soup every so often.
Livers should be cooked to well done, not rare, especially from larger animals like calves because they have toxins. And, it's better if you don't eat it. Beef liver sashimi has been banned in Japan because there have been people died and hundred poisoned from eating it.
Next, try to eat at an Izakaya! It's not a specialty restaurant, but it has friendly atmosphere and they serve a lot of food for cheap prices. :D If you want to try Japan's specialty, please visit mochi shops around Tokyo, in Ginza, Asakusa, and Harajuku near their respective train stations.
Then Chen grabs the guy by the collar and says, "Why you son of a bitch! You lied to me! You told me this is Miyazaki chicken!" And a huge fight ensues, plates of chicken are being thrown, and the chef emerges from the back and hits Chen in the head with a frying pan and knocks him out. Some of you may know this is a play on a Chris Farley SNL sketch.
good that he mentions the smoking problem there in japan. I live in iowa and Illinois next door, they are both no smoking in public places which include eating establishments, thankfully . . .
You are amazingly funny! Your commentary keeps me coming back! I’m searching the web for this chicken now🤣. I think I’ve seen like 100 of your videos now! ❤️
2:21 the green powder is matcha solt. (solt blended matcha) 2:36 you missed the yuzu-kosho (the paste on the left side of the plate) yuzu-kosho is a paste made from chili peppers, yuzu citrus peel and salt. it's so tasty. you should've tried it once. 6:09 the souce looks like Japanese mustard with blended some other souce) cos.the color doesn't look wasabi. there are so many famous local brand meat (beef, pork, chiken etc.)in Japan. not only Kobe beef and Miyazaki chiken but also other local signatured meat and food.
Chicken livers, gizzards, hearts, and necks are used to make giblet gravy. Turkey livers, gizzards, hearts, and necks are also used to make turkey gravy or, in most supermarkets, you can purchase packaged trays of just livers or just hearts. I make meala of beef heart (stuffed and unstuffed). My mother made a wonderful dish of beef kidney that had a creamy sauce and parsley and she made kidney pie as well. Nothing weird about any of that.
Hahahaha love your puns 😂😂😂 the Captain Crunch pun you made reminded me of your 'so bad it's actually good' fun-g(i)uy pun you even made more than once! You know you're totally insane when you make the same pun twice 😂😉
While you're in Japan you should try Akita Beef. It's supposed to be LEVELS above Kobe Beef. Simon and Martina had it and they had literal tears of joy.
I love chicken hearts & gizzards & the cartilage on the bones. I'm always frying them. When we go down to Arkansas we stop @ the gas station & buy a large order of them for are trip. So good. I always fry them when we're @ the lake, take them out on the boat & snack on them all night fishing. I fry them in the fish fryer about 5 lbs @ a time. Are family of 4 can go through them quickly. Exspecily the teenaged kids. I think I'm going to the store & buying some hearts & gizzards tonight. Thanks Mikey....
